Abstract

ABSTRAK
TS aluminium merupakan usaha yang bergerak dalam bidang usaha
kerajinan cor aluminium yang terletak di Sorosutan, Bantul, Daerah Istimewa
Yogyakarta. Salah satu produksi TS Aluminium yaitu pembuatan cetakan kue
dengan menggunakan cetakan pasir. Permasalahan pada produk cetakan kue yang
sering terjadi di TS Aluminium yaitu produk dengan kebocoran dan bentuk yang
tidak sesuai. Oleh sebab itu perlu dilakukan pengendalian kualitas untuk
mengurangi produk cacat pada produk cetakan kue tersebut.
Untuk mengurangi kegagalan produk pada produk cetakan kue maka
digunakan metode Grey Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (GFMEA). Metode
GFMEA digunakan untuk mendapatkan nilai RPN yang lebih akurat karena nilai
faktor kegagalan yang berbeda dapat dipertimbangkan. GFMEA merupakan
integrasi antara metode FMEA tradisional, FAHP dan grey theory. Pada penelitian
ini didapatkan dua jenis kegagalan pada proses produksi cetakan kue berdasarkan
hasil observasi dan wawancara di perusahaan. Adapun nilai GRPN kebocoran yaitu
sebesar 0,488 sedangkan bentuk tidak sesuai sebesar 0,748. Berdasarkan hasil
diskusi dengan pihak perusahaan maka diperoleh usulan tindakan perbaikan,
diantaranya adalah memberikan waktu istirahat yang cukup jika proses produksi
berlebih dari biasanya,melakukan pengecekan ulang setiap pembuatan
cetakan,membuat prosedur standar pencampuran bahan agar konsisten tiap batch,
membeli bahan baku yang sesuai, mengganti alat cetak yang sudah aus atau rusak,
memeriksa cetakan sebelum pengecoran untuk mendeteksi kerusakan serta
menyediakan ventilasi di area pengecoran.

Proposal for Improving the Cake Mold Production Process to
Minimize the Level of Product Defects Using the Grey Failure Mode
and Effect Analysis Method with FAHP Weighting
ABSTRACT
TS Aluminium is a business engaged in the field of aluminum casting crafts
located in Sorosutan, Bantul, Special Region of Yogyakarta. One of the products of
TS Aluminium is the production of cake molds using sand molds. A common issue
with the cake mold products at TS Aluminium is products with leaks and shapes
that do not match. Therefore, quality control needs to be implemented to reduce
defective products in these cake molds.
To reduce product failures in cake molds, the Grey Failure Mode and Effect
Analysis (GFMEA) method is used. The GFMEA method is employed to obtain a
more accurate RPN value as different failure factor values can be considered.
GFMEA is an integration of the traditional FMEA method, FAHP, and grey theory.
In this study, two types of failures in the cake mold production process were
identified based on observations and interviews at the company. The GRPN value
for leakage is 0.488, while the value for non-compliance is 0.748. Based on the
results of discussions with the company, proposed corrective actions were obtained,
including providing adequate rest time if the production process exceeds normal
levels, rechecking each mold making, creating a standard procedure for mixing
materials to ensure consistency for each batch, purchasing suitable raw materials,
replacing worn or damaged molds, inspecting molds before casting to detect
damage, and providing ventilation in the casting area.
