ABSTRAK
PT Sport Glove Indonesia merupakan perusahaan manufaktur yang
memproduksi sarung tangan sebagai produk utamanya. Perusahaan melakukan
ekpsor produk dalam jumlah yang besar. Dari pengamatan yang dilakukan,
besarnya jumlah produksi yang dihasilkan, terdapat banyak produk cacat yang
dihasilkan juga seperti jahitan jebol, jari tidak oval, dan jahitan melintir yang
merupakan jenis cacat yang paling sering ditemukan di Departemen Sewing.
Permasalahan ini berakibat pada terhambatnya proses produksi sarung tangan dan
dapat mempengaruhi reputasi perusahaan.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan perbaikan pengendalian kualitas pada
proses produksi sarung tangan sehingga dapat meminimasi produk cacat yang dihasilkan
menggunakan metode Statistical Process Control (SPC) dan Theory of Inventive
Problem Solving (TRIZ). Langkah-langkah yang dilakukan diawali dengan
perhitungan SPC menggunakan beberapa tools dari seven tools kemudian
menghitung biaya repair sebagai perbaindingan dan memberikan usulan perbaikan
menggunakan TRIZ. Usulan perbaikan yang diberikan yaitu penambahan waktu
istirahat untuk peregangan selama 7 menit, pembuatan form penilaian kemampuan
karyawan, dan penambahan fasilitas kipas angin di area line sewing.
Dari hasil penelitian ini, diperoleh peningkatan rata-rata hasil RFT dari
89,42% menjadi 92,76%. Selain itu juga terjadi penurunan persentase ketiga jenis
cacat yang awalnya 5,02% menjadi 4,5% dan persentase cacat produk keseluruhan
perbulannya setelah perbaikan dapat mencapai target perusahaan <10% yaitu hanya
sebesar 7,24%. Dengan adanya penurunan total cacat produk tersebut, didapatkan
juga hasil biaya repair yang menurun sebanyak Rp36.794,67 dari yang awalnya
sejumlah Rp2.156.682,73 menjadi Rp2.119.888,06. Nilai-nilai tersebut
menunjukkan bahwa usulan perbaikan yang diberikan berhasil mencapai tujuan
penelitian dan efektif dilakukan untuk meminimasi produk cacat di perusahaan
khususnya di Departemen Sewing.

ABSTRACK
PT Sport Glove Indonesia is a manufacturing company that produces gloves
as its main product. The company exports products in large quantities. From the
observations made, of the large amount of production produced, there are many
defective products produced, such as broken stitches, non-oval fingers, and twisted
stitches, which are the types of defects most often found in the Sewing Department.
This problem results in delays in the glove production process and can affect the
company's reputation.
This research aims to improve quality control in the glove production
process so that it can minimize defective products produced using the Statistical
Process Control (SPC) and Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ) methods.
The steps taken begin with calculating the SPC using several tools from the seven
tools, then calculating repair costs as a comparison and providing repair proposals
using TRIZ. The proposed improvements include adding 7 minutes of rest time for
stretching, creating an employee ability assessment form, and adding fan facilities
in the sewing line area.
From the results of this research, an average increase in RFT results was
obtained from 89.42% to 92.76%. Apart from that, there was also a decrease in the
percentage of the three types of defects from initially 5.02% to 4.5% and the
percentage of overall product defects per month after repairs was able to reach the
company's target of <10%, which was only 7.24%. With the decrease in total
product defects, repair costs also decreased by IDR 36,794.67 from the initial
amount of IDR 2,156,682.73 to IDR 2,119,888.06. These values show that the
proposed improvements have succeeded in achieving the research objectives and
have been effectively implemented to minimize defective products in the company,
especially in the Sewing Department.
