ABSTRAK
Salah satu implementasi teknologi informasi dalam pendidikan adalah
dengan menghadirkan sistem informasi akademik. UPN “Veteran”
Yogyakarta sebagai lembaga pendidikan tinggi telah menghadirkan
sistem informasi akademik baru, yaitu BIMA. Penelitian ini bertujuan
untuk mengetahui pengalaman mahasiswa Ilmu Komunikasi UPN
“Veteran” Yogyakarta terhadap UI/UX website Sistem Informasi
Akademik BIMA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif
deskriptif. Data penelitian dikumpulan melalui angket dan wawancara
terhadap delapan mahasiswa Ilmu Komunikasi UPN “Veteran”
Yogyakarta. Hasil penelitian ini terbagi menjadi tiga pengalaman secara
umum. Pertama, pengalaman terhadap desain antarmuka menyatakan
bahwa secara keseluruhan sudah estetis, minimalis, dan konsisten,
tinggal perbaikan kecil pada beberapa tampilan. Kedua, pengalaman
terhadap fitur dan menu menyatakan bahwa secara fungsional tetap
konsisten bahkan terjadi peningkatan fitur, namun ada beberapa saran
untuk meningkatkan fungsional fitur dan menu. Ketiga, pengalaman
terhadap bantuan dan dokumentasi menyatakan bahwa pengguna
memerlukan fitur bantuan berupa FAQ dan live chat, selain itu
sosialisasi yang komprehensif juga perlu dilakukan.

ABSTRACT
One of the implementations of information technology in education is
through the presentation of an academic information system. UPN
"Veteran" Yogyakarta as a higher education institution has presented a
new academic information system, namely BIMA. This study aims to
determine the experience of Communication Science students of UPN
"Veteran" Yogyakarta towards the UI/UX of the BIMA academic
information system website. The research method is descriptive
qualitative. The research data was collected through questionnaires and
interviews with eight Communication Science students of UPN "Veteran"
Yogyakarta. The findings of this study are divided into three general
experiences. First, the experience of interface design states that overall,
it is aesthetically pleasing, minimalist and consistent, with only minor
improvements to some displays. Second, the experience of features and
menus stated that it remained functionally consistent and even added
features, but there were some suggestions to improve the functional
features and menus. Third, the experience of help and documentation
states that users need help features in the form of FAQs and live chat,
besides that comprehensive socialization also needs to be done.
