ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi tingkat kesuksesan Sistem Informasi
Persuratan yang digunakan oleh Balai Pendidikan Menengah Kabupaten Bantul.
Dalam era globalisasi yang ditandai oleh perkembangan pesat teknologi informasi,
penggunaan sistem informasi telah menjadi kebutuhan yang mendesak bagi
berbagai organisasi dan lembaga pendidikan, termasuk Balai Pendidikan
Menengah Kabupaten Bantul. Sistem informasi tersebut memiliki peran penting
dalam mengelola segala sesuatu yang berhubungan dengan kegiatan administrasi
dan kearsipan. Namun, terdapat beberapa kekurangan dalam implementasi sistem
informasi persuratan saat ini, yang menghambat kinerja staff administrasi.
Diantaranya, ketika surat masuk berbentuk kertas atau hardcopy, staff harus tetap
mengantarkannya secara langsung ke tujuan surat, yang bisa menyebabkan
keterlambatan. Selain itu, tidak adanya notifikasi pemberitahuan kepada pengguna
yang mendapatkan surat juga menjadi masalah serius dalam sistem ini.
Untuk menilai tingkat kesuksesan sistem informasi surat masuk keluar, penelitian
ini akan menggunakan metode DeLone & McLean. Metode ini telah digunakan
pada penelitian sejenis untuk mengevaluasi berbagai sistem informasi, termasuk
sistem informasi kesehatan dan website resmi pemerintahan. Melalui kuesioner,
data akan dikumpulkan dari pengguna sistem informasi persuratan untuk
mengukur kualitas sistem, kualitas informasi, kualitas layanan, pemakaian sistem,
dan kepuasan pengguna. Tahap penelitian akan meliputi identifikasi kebutuhan
pengguna sistem informasi persuratan, studi literatur untuk menentukan kriteria,
indikator, dan hipotesis kelayakan, pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner, serta
analisis data menggunakan teknik statistik untuk mengukur kelayakan sistem.
Hasil analisis akan dievaluasi dan digunakan untuk membuat rekomendasi
perbaikan jika diperlukan. Dengan penelitian ini, diharapkan bahwa Balai
Pendidikan Menengah Kabupaten Bantul akan mendapatkan masukan berharga
untuk mengambil keputusan terkait sistem informasi persuratan yang digunakan.
Hasil evaluasi dan rekomendasi perbaikan akan membantu meningkatkan kinerja
sistem dan memastikan kepuasan pengguna tercapai.

ABSTACT
This study aims to evaluate the level of success of the Letter Information System used by the
Middle Education Center of Bantul Regency. In the era of globalization marked by the
rapid development of information technology, the use of information systems has become
an urgent need for various educational organizations and institutions, including the Bantul
District Secondary Education Center. The information system has an important role in
managing everything related to administrative and archival activities.
However, there are several deficiencies in the implementation of the current mailing
information system, which hinder the performance of administrative staff. Among other
things, when incoming letters are in the form of paper or hardcopy, staff must still deliver
them directly to the destination of the letter, which can cause delays. In addition, the
absence of notification notifications for users who receive letters is also a serious problem
in this system.
To assess the level of success of the incoming and outgoing mail information system, this
study will use the DeLone & McLean method. This method has been used in similar studies
to evaluate various information systems, including health information systems and official
government websites. Through a questionnaire, data will be collected from mail
information system users to measure system quality, information quality, service quality,
system usage, and user satisfaction. The research phase will include identifying the needs
of users of the mailing information system, studying the literature to determine eligibility
criteria, indicators, and hypotheses, collecting data through questionnaires, and analyzing
data using statistical techniques to measure system feasibility.
The results of the analysis will be evaluated and used to make recommendations for
improvement if necessary. With this research, it is hoped that the Bantul Regency
Secondary Education Center will get valuable input to make decisions regarding the
mailing information system used. Evaluation results and recommendations for
improvement will help improve system performance and ensure user satisfaction is
achieved.
