INTISARI
Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan deskripsi dan analisis dampak ekonomi
yang muncul selama pandemic COVID-19 pada sektor usaha jasa penyedia layanan
pariwisata di Kota Kendari. Metode campuran kualitatif dan kuantitatif deskriptif
merupakan pendekatan untuk mengetahui dampak pandemic tersebut. Jenis data
kuantitatif dalam penelitian ini terkait pendapatan unit usaha, pengurangan tenaga
kerja, lama tutup usaha, dan jenis data kualitatif yang bersumber dari hasil
wawancara bersama pemilik usaha penyedia layanan pariwisata di Kota Kendari.
Jenis usaha yang menjadi target dalam penelitian ini adalah usaha Rumah
Makan/Restoran dan Hotel/Penginapan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan
observasi pada unit usaha di Kota Kendari, kuisioner dan wawancara dengan 160
pemilik unit usaha. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 90% atau
hampir seluruh unit usaha pariwisata mengalami dampak penurunan omset. Dampak
lain yang muncul adalah meningkatnya modal, pengurangan tenaga kerja pariwisata,
tutupnya unit usaha, dan kerugian lainnya. Upaya untuk meningkatkan kembali
pendapatan telah dilakukan dengan menerapkan pengembangan model usaha baru
yang mampu bertahan di era pandemi.

ABSTRACT
This study aims to provide a description and analysis of the economic
impacts that emerged during the COVID-19 pandemic on the tourism service
provider business sector in Kendari City. The mixed qualitative and quantitative
descriptive method is an approach to determine the impact of the pandemic. The
types of quantitative data in this study are related to business unit income, workforce
reduction, length of business closure, and qualitative data types sourced from
interviews with business owners providing tourism services in Kendari City. The
type of business that is targeted in this research is a restaurant/restaurant and
hotel/lodging business. Data collection techniques used observations on business
units in Kendari City, questionnaires and interviews with 160 business unit owners.
The results of this study indicate that as much as 90% or almost all tourism business
units experienced a decline in turnover. Other impacts that arise are increased
capital, reduced tourism workforce, closure of business units, and other losses.
Efforts to increase revenue have been carried out by implementing the development
of new business models that are able to survive in the pandemic era.
