Abstract
ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengalaman pengguna dating app Bumble
dalam mecari relasi baru dan tahapan yang dihasilkan dari proses kmunikasi melalui dating
app Bumble. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui ketergantungan manusia terhadap
teknologi mempengaruhi kemampuan mereka dalam komunikasi dan pengalaman pengguna
dating app Bumble dalam mencari relasi baru serta tahapan dalam relasi pada dating app
Bumble. Penelitian ini Menggunakan teori Computer Mediated Communication dan
Coordinated Management of Meaning dan metode penelitian yang digunakan dalampenelitian
ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik analisis data yang melibatkan reduksi data,
presentasi data, dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengalaman pengguna
dalam aplikasi Bumble yaitu adanya sejumlah faktor, termasuk konsep diri, preferensi, dan
ekspektasi dalam pencarian pasangan. Teori Coordinated Management of Meaning membantu
dalam menjelaskan bagaimana pengguna menciptakan pesan dan berbagi makna dalam proses
kencan online. Koordinasi makna antar pengguna dalam Bumble memainkan peran kunci
dalam membentuk hubungan dan mengelola ekspektasi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan
aplikasi ini mencerminkan proses kompleks dalam mana makna dikonstruksi dan dikelola
secara bersama-sama dalam upaya mencari pasangan atau teman yang cocok.

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this research is to explore the experiences of users of the dating app Bumble in
seeking new relationships and the stages resulting from the communication process through
the Bumble dating app. The study is conducted to understand how human dependence on
technology influences their communication abilities and the user experience in seeking new
relationships, as well as the stages in relationships within the Bumble dating app. The research
employs the theories of Computer Mediated Communication and Coordinated Management of
Meaning, and the research methodology used is descriptive qualitative with data analysis
techniques involving data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The research results
show that user experience in the Bumble application involves several factors, including self-
concept, preferences, and expectations in the search for a partner. The Coordinated
Management of Meaning theory aids in explaining how users create messages and share
meaning in the process of online dating. The coordination of meaning among users in Bumble
plays a key role in forming relationships and managing expectations. In conclusion, the use of
this app reflects a complex process in which meaning is constructed and managed collectively
in the effort to find suitable partners or friends.
