ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi komunikasi yang dilakukan
oleh kelompok sadar wisata 'Magnet Channel' dalam membangun pariwisata
berbasis masyarakat di Desa Wonolelo Sawangan Magelang. Penelitian ini
menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan mengumpulkan data melalui
wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan analisis SWOT dalam menentukan strategi
komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh Pokdarwis Magnet Channel. Hasil penelitian
menunjukkan bahwa Magnet Channel menggunakan keahlian mereka dalam
komunikasi dan pemasaran untuk melibatkan masyarakat lokal dalam
pengembangan pariwisata. Mereka menghasilkan konten menarik dan informatif
melalui platform media sosial, membangun hubungan dengan pemangku
kepentingan, dan melibatkan masyarakat dalam kegiatan pelatihan dan promosi.
Namun, Magnet Channel juga menghadapi tantangan seperti keterbatasan anggaran
dan koordinasi antara pihak terkait. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan tentang
strategi komunikasi yang efektif dalam membangun pariwisata berbasis masyarakat
dan dapat menjadi acuan bagi kelompok sadar wisata dan pemerintah daerah dalam
memperkuat sektor pariwisata yang berkelanjutan.

ABSTRACT
This study aims to analyze the communication strategies employed by the
community-based tourism awareness group 'Magnet Channel' in developing
community-based tourism in Wonolelo Village, Sawangan Magelang. The study
adopts a qualitative approach, gathering data through in-depth interviews,
observations, and SWOT analysis to determine the communication strategies
implemented by Magnet Channel. The findings reveal that Magnet Channel utilizes
their expertise in communication and marketing to engage the local community in
tourism development. They generate compelling and informative content through
social media platforms, build relationships with stakeholders, and involve the
community in training and promotional activities. However, Magnet Channel also
faces challenges such as budget limitations and coordination among relevant
parties. This research provides insights into effective communication strategies for
fostering community-based tourism and serves as a reference for other community-
based tourism groups and local governments in strengthening sustainable tourism
sectors.
