Abstract

ABSTRACT Indonesia is a country that is rich in natural resource potential. There are many unexplored potentials that can be exploited for the benefit of many people. Along with the changing times, physical development such as industrial and housing developments also increased rapidly. One of the potential mineral rock minerals (Law No.4 of 2009 concerning mineral and coal mining) in the research area is sandstones. This research was conducted to calculate the amount of resources in the research area of PT. Tbek Engineering located in Limpung Village, Gringsing District, Batang Regency, Central Java Province. With a research area of 250,349 m2 . The research method is carried out by conducting literature studies, observing the distribution of sandstones, collecting data to conclusions and suggestions. The results of the calculation using the cross section method are 13.068.222 m3 while the contour method is 14.599.983 m3 . The estimation results with the cross section method are smaller than the contour method, this is because the cross section method the distance between the incisions is 50 m with the assumption that the surface is considered the same or linear, while the contour method the distance between contour cross sections is 1 m so that it makes it more accurate and the results are increasingly big. For the difference between the two methods is 1.531.761 m3 .
