Abstract
Humas pemerintah mempunyai peranan dan fungsi yang sangat penting dalam mempublikasikan Special Event yakni menyampaikan kepada masyarakat/publik tentang keberadaan suatu Special Event yakni Jogja Java Carnaval tersebut, sebagai pemberitahuan agar masyarakat bisa mengetahui tentang keberadaan Jogja Java Carnaval yang akan diselenggarakan oleh pihak Pemerintah Kota Yogyakarta. Di dalam penyampaian kegiatan Special Event Jogja Java Carnaval terjadi suatu proses komunikasi pihak humas sebagai komunikan dan masyarakat sebagai komunikatornya yang berarti terjadinya Two Way Communications (komunikasi timbal balik), jadi di dalam kegiatan Special Event yang dipublikasikan oleh pihak Humas Pemerintah Kota mendapatkan feedback dari masyarakat, terbukti dengan banyaknya kehadiran masyrakat yang menonton Jogja Java carnaval dan juga masyarakat yang berpatisipasi sebagai peserta untuk memeriahkan Jogja JavaCarnaval, sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa proses mempublikasikan kepada masyarakat tersampaikan dengan baik. PR government has a role and a very important function in publicizing the Special Event convey to the public / public about the existence of a Special Event Jogja Java Carnival, as the notification so that people can know about the existence of Jogja Java Carnival which will be hosted by the Government of Yogyakarta. In the delivery of activities Jogja Java Carnival Special Event occurs a process of communication as the public relations and community as komunikatornya communicant which means the Two Way Communications (reciprocal communication), so in the Special Event activities published by the Public Relations of the City Government to get feedback from the community , as evidenced by the presence of the community many who watch Jogja Java carnaval and communities participating as participants to enliven JavaCarnaval Jogja, so it can be said that the process to publish to the public is well conveyed.
