IMPLIKASI STRUKTUR PATAHAN BERDASARKAN DATA
GRAVITASI TERHADAP KARAKTERISTIK GEOFISIKA
WELL LOGGING PADA LAPISAN BATUBARA DI DAERAH
CEKUNGAN ASEM-ASEM BANJARMASIN

Cekungan asem-asem adalah cekungan asimetris kecil dengan arah Utara-
Timur yang berlokasi pada daerah tenggara Pegunungan Meratus Banjarmasin.
Menurut Bishop (1980) menyatakan bahwa sebanyak 4600 m dari endapan sedimen
tersier berada di cekungan ini. Cekungan Asem-asem Terdapat sesar /patahan yang
relative berarah Selatan-Timur.
Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan data gravitasi yang diolah
hingga didapatkan peta TDR dan peta THD dan juga menggunakan 19 data well
logging yang terdiri dari gamma ray log dan density log yang diolah hingga
menghasilkan Grafik serta peta persebaran nilai densitas dan volume shale yang
berlokasi di Cekungan Asem-asem Banjarmasin dengan tujuan penelitian untuk
mengetahui pengaruh struktur patahan terhadap karakteristik lapisan batubara.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik lapisan batubara pada
seam A memiliki nilai densitas 0.967 gr/cc dan nilai volume shale 0.02%. Seam B
memiliki nilai densitas 1 gr/cc dan 0.967 gr/cc dengan volume shale sebesar 0.08%
dan 0.06%. Pada seam C memiliki nilai densitas 1.03 gr/cc dan nilai volume shale
yang tinggi yaitu 0.3%. Seam D memiliki nilai densitas sebesar 0.99% dengan nilai
volume shale 0.08%. Pengaruh struktur patahan terhadap lapisan batubara yaitu
pada lapisan batubara yang dilewati oleh struktur patahan memiliki kandungan
mineral pengotor yang lebih tinggi sehingga menjadikan kualitas lapisan batubara
lebih buruk dibandingkan dengan lapisan batubara yang tidak dilewati oleh struktur
patahan.

GRAVITASI DATA TO GEOPHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS
OF WELL LOGGING IN COAL SEAMS IN THE ASEM-ASEM
BASIN AREA OF BANJARMASIN

Asem-asem Basin is a small asymmetrical basin with North-East direction
located in the southeast area of Meratus Mountains of Banjarmasin. According to
Bishop (1980), as much as 4600 m of Tertiary sedimentary deposits are located in
this basin. The Asem-asem Basin has a fault that is relatively South-East oriented.
This research was conducted using gravity data processed to obtain TDR
maps and THD maps and also using 19 data well logging consisting of gamma ray
logs and density logs processed to produce graphs and distribution maps of density
values and shale volumes located in the Asem-asem Basin of Banjarmasin with the
research objective to determine the effect of fault structures on the characteristics
of coal seams.
The results showed that the characteristics of the coal seam in seam A had
a density value of 0.967 gr/cc and a shale volume value of 0.02%. Seam B has a
density value of 1 gr/cc and 0.967 gr/cc with a shale volume of 0.08% and 0.06%.
Seam C has a density value of 1.03 gr/cc and a high shale volume value of 0.3%.
Seam D has a density value of 0.99% with a shale volume value of 0.08%. The
effect of fault structure on coal seam is that the coal seam passed by the fault
structure has a higher impurity mineral content, making the quality of the coal seam
worse than the coal seam that is not passed by the structure.
