Abstract

ABSTRAK
Komunikasi yang efektif dalam keluarga dapat membantu anak-anak dalam
mengatasi masalah di sekolah, membangun hubungan yang sehat dengan rekan
sebaya, dan meningkatkan performa akademik mereka. Untuk mengetahui dan
menjelaskan komunikasi keluarga dan komunikasi di sekolah yang terjadi terhadap
anak-anak bermasalah di sekolah pada SMP Muhammadiyah Pleret Kabupaten
Bantul. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam jenis penelitian kualitatif karena
menggunakan teknik deskriptif dalam pembahasan dan penyajian hasil analisa, dan
menggunakan metode studi kasus karena hanya “meliputi subjek yang sangat
sempit, tetapi lebih komprehensif dan membahas kemungkinan untuk memecahkan
masalah yang aktual, dengan mengumpulkan data, menyusun dan
mengafiliasikannya, kemudian memberi interpretasiPermasalahan anak terjadi
bukan karena murni dalam diri anak itu sendiri, namun kemungkinan terjadi dari
hal-hal yang tidak dapat ditanggulangi oleh anak dalam keluarganya. Faktor-faktor
terjadinya permasalahan anak lebih pada bagaimana interaksi dan juga kondisi anak
dengan orang tuanya antara lain kondisi keluarga yang berantakan (broken home),
lingkungan pergaulan dan komunikasi interpersonal yang kurang efektif antara
orang tua dan anak. Komunikasi anak bermasalah di SMP Muhammadiyah Pleret
dengan keluarga disimpulkan bahwa komunikasi dari masing-masing keluarga
berbeda-beda. Keluarga yang mempunyai alur komunikasi yang baik, segala
sesuatu terkait dengan permasalahan anak dibicarakan dalam keluarga sedangkan
keluarga yang mempunyai alur komunikasi yang tidak baik dalam keluarga maka
anak jarang berbicara dengan keluarga.

ABSTRACT
Effective communication within the family can help children overcome problems at
school, build healthy relationships with peers, and improve their academic
performance. To find out and explain family communication and school
communication that occurs with problem children at school at Muhammadiyah
Pleret Middle School, Bantul Regency. This research is included in the type of
qualitative research because it uses descriptive techniques in discussing and
presenting the results of the analysis and uses the case study method because it only
"covers a very narrow subject, but is more comprehensive and discusses the
possibility of solving actual problems, by collecting data, compiling and affiliate it,
then give an interpretation. Children's problems occur not because they are purely
within the child himself, but possibly because of things that cannot be handled by
the child in his family. The factors that cause children's problems are more about
how the child interacts and the condition of the child with his parents, including the
condition of a broken home, social environment and less effective interpersonal
communication between parents and children. Communication between
problematic children at Muhammadiyah Pleret Middle School and their families
concluded that communication from each family was different. Families that have
a good communication flow, everything related to children's problems are
discussed within the family, while families that have a poor communication flow
within the family, the children rarely talk to the family.
