Abstract
Sebagai masyrakat yang hidup dizaman modern, film sudah bukan
menjadi hal yang tabu lagi untuk diperbincangkan. Film sebagai media yang
cukup dominan yang dikonsumsi masyrakat, berperan sangat penting untuk
menjadi media atau wadah untuk menuangkan ide kreativitas-kreativitas saat ini.
Salah satu ide yang diangkat kedalam film yang digunakan sebagai bahan
penelitian ialah mengenai rasisme. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui
jenis-jenis dan bentuk-bentuk rasisme yang berkembang dimasyrakat saat ini.
Rasisme sendiri sudah menjadi penyakit sosial yang cukup berkembang pesat di
masyarakat. Rasisme menjadi pemecah persatuan dan kesatuan dalam masyrakat
di suatu Negara. Banyak masyrakat belum paham mengenai bentuk-bentuk
rasisme serta dampak dari sikap rasis tersebut. Metodologi penelitian yang
digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah interpretatif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk
mengetahui fakta dari tindakan yang spesifik yang bergantung pada pemaknaan
sebagian orang dalam lingkup sosial. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian rasisme
dalam film ini dilakukan dengan cara analisis teks media, wawancara,
dokumentasi dan studi pustaka. Validitas dalam penelitian ini menggunakan 5 dari
9 formula yaitu siapa komunikator, motivasi komunikator, konteks fisik dan
sosial, fungsi tanda sejarah,dan interteksualitas. Dalam film yang diteliti oleh
peneliti ini sudah cukup menyajikan bentuk-bentuk rasisme yang berkembang di
masyrakat, diharapkan hal tersebut dapat membuat masyrakat menjadi lebih sadar
dan peka terhadap bentuk-bentuk rasisme yang terjadi disekitar.

ABSTRAC
As part of the modern society, film is no longer a taboo topic to be dicussed. Film
as a dominant media which is widely consumed by or society, hasn’t an important
role in becomeing a base to expose present creative ideas. One of the idea that is
also the resource of this reserach is about racism. The objective of this research is
to know the types and forms of racism which develops in todays society. Racism
itself has become a major social issue that develops rapidly in the society. Racism
is able to break the unfied society of a country. A big part of todays society has
not yet understand the shapes of racism with its effect. Methodology of this
resreach is a qualitative interpretative method, which will lead to the findingsnof
facts from spesific actionc which is depends on the meaning of som people in the
social sphere. Data collection on this research on racism in films is done through
an text media analystic mehods, interviews, documentation and literaure reviews.
The validity of this research uses 5 of 9 formulas which are who is the
communicator, motivation of the communicator, physical and social content,
historical signs function, and intertextuality. Within the film that is apart of this
research, offers enough form of racism which develops in the society, which later
it is hoped to bring a wider realization and sensitivity towards forms of racism
around our society
