Abstract
PT. Semen Padang adalah perusahaan Badan Usaha Milik Negara
(BUMN) yang memproduksi semen portland, dengan menggunakan bahan baku
utama Batugamping yang ditambang sendiri oleh PT. Semen Padang. Kegiatan
penambangan yang sebelumnya dilakukan pembersihan lahan dan pemindahan
tanah penutup, yaitu pembongkaran, pemuatan dan pengangkutan Batugamping
dari front sampai stockpile, seluruh proses kegiatan dilakukan dengan
menggunakan alat-alat mekanis seperti Backhoe,Wheel Loader dan Dump Truck.
PT. Semen Padang berdiri sejak tahun 1910 dengan menyerap tenaga kerja
lokal sebagai tenaga operasional perusahaan. Perusahaan mempunyai komitmen
tentang kebijakan pro job dalam bentuk penciptaan lapangan pekerjaan bagi
masyarakat lokal, pengentasan kemiskinan (pro poor), pelestarian lingkungan
(pro invironment), dan pengembangan pendidikan masyarakat lokal (pro
education).
Sebelum diterbitkannya Undang-Undang Nomor 40 tahun 2007 tentang
Perseroan Terbatas (PT), Kegiatan Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) yang
dilakukan mengacu pada Undang-Undang Nomor 19 tahun 2003 tetang BUMN,
yang sifatnya masih berupa imbauan, sehingga kegiatan CSR yang dilakukan
masih dalam tataran, atau bentuk kegiatan amal dan respon atas kejadian luar
biasa semata.
Setelah diterbitkannya Undang-Undang Nomor 40 tahun 2007, PT. Semen
Padang telah melakukan beberapa kegiatan seperti penciptaan lapangan
pekerjaan, pengentasan kemiskinan, peduli pendidikan dan pelestarian
lingkungan, yang telah meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat daerah setempat
dan masyarakat menilai kegiatan tersebut telah berhasil dengan baik yaitu meraih
skor rata-rata 3,00 (skala Likert).
PT. Semen Padang is a National corpooration (BUMN) that produces
portland cement, using limestones as the main raw material which is mined by
PT. Semen Padang it self. Mining activities such as land clearing and overburden
removal, blasting, loading and transporting from the front to the stockpile. The
whole process of the activities carried out by using heavy equipment such as
backhoes, wheel loaders, and dump trucks.
PT. Semen Padang founded in 1910 with the local employment as hired to
do the company operational. At its inception the company possessed of
commitment to pro-job policies in the form of job creation for local communities,
poverty alleviation (pro-poor), environmental protection (pro invironment), and
educational development of local communities (pro education).
Before the goverment issued Act No. 40 of 2007 which regulate Limited
Liability Company (PT), Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) regulation
reference to the Act No. 19 of 2003 which regulate National corporation, which is
not an obligation, so Corporate Social Responsibility is just act of charity or
based on special events only.
After the issuance of act No. 40 of 2007, PT. Semen Padang has several
activities such as job creation, poverty alleviation, education development and
environmental protection that cause economic improvement to local communities,
and the commnities rate the program by PT. Semen Padang have been succesfully
by getting 3,00 on Likert scale
