Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keberhasilan program community development “Sobat
Borneo” di PT.Pertamina Refinery Unit V Balikpapan. Hal ini didasari pemahaman bahwa
keberhasilan sebuah program akan berpengaruh terhadap kegiatan operasional perusahaan
kedepannya. Salah satu cara untuk mengetahui keberhasilan program tersebut adalah dengan
mengevaluasi kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan.Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif
dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif, yaitu penelitian yang menjelaskan secara rinci berkaitan
dengan objek penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan melalui proses wawancara,
observasi dan studi pustaka. Validitas data yang digunakan adalah triangulasi data, yaitu data
diperoleh dari dua narasumber, kemudian diteliti kebenarannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukan
bahwa PT.Pertamina Refinery Unit V Balikpapan berhasil menjalankan program community
development “Sobat Borneo”. Keberhasilan bisa dilihat dari outcomes yang diterima yaitu
respon positif dan perubahan sikap yang ditunjukan oleh pelajar-pelajar yang telah terlibat
dalam kegiatan “Sobat Borneo”. Mereka mengikuti kegiatan “Sobat Borneo” dan ikut serta dalam
mengkampanyekan aksi peduli lingkungan disekolah mereka. Dalam pelaksanaannya juga terdapat
kendala yang dihadapi diantaranya adalah kurangnya sumber daya manusia yang dimiliki oleh
PT.Pertamina RU V khususnya didivisi PR sehingga evaluasi tidak dilaksanakan secara maksimal
serta waktu pelaksanaan kegiatan sobat borneo yang sering berbenturan dengan jadwal
kegiatan disekolah mereka. Tetapi hal tersebut bisa diatasi oleh pihak Pertamina RU V, sehingga
kegiatan-kegiatan masih bisa berjalan dengan baik
ABSTRACT
This study aims to analyze the success of the community development program " Sobat Borneo " in
PT.Pertamina V Balikpapan Refinery Unit . This is based on the understanding that the success of a
program will affect the future operations of the company. One way to determine the success of the
program is to evaluate the activities that have dilaksanakan.Penelitian using qualitative methods
with descriptive researc , which is research that describes in detail the research associated with the
object . Data collection techniques are done through the process of interviews, observation and
literature . The validity of the data used was triangulation of data , ie the data obtained from two
sources, then vetted. The results showed that the V Balikpapan Refinery Unit PT.Pertamina
successfully run a community development program " Sobat Borneo " . The success can be seen
from the outcomes received is a positive response and a change in attitude shown by students who
have been involved in the " Sobat Borneo " . They are doing the " Sobat Borneo " and participated in
the campaign of environmental awareness in schools of their actions . In practice there are also
constraints faced by them is the lack of human resources owned by PT.Pertamina RU V especially
divisi PR so that the evaluation is not fully implemented and the time of implementation of Sobat
Borneo who often clashed with their school schedules . But it can be overcome by the Pertamina RU
V , so that the activities can still run well
