Abstract
Abstract Bali Democracy Forum (BDF) is a discussion forum on democracy, organized by the Indonesian government through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia, started 2008. In 2012, Indonesia has been held fifth BDF and the participants growing every year. This forum discusses democratic developments that happened in each participant’s country, so the participants can learn from each other. This research purposes to see the relevance of this BDF to increase Indonesian soft power. Soft power itself is the ability to affect others to obtain the outcomes one wants through attraction rather than coercion or payment. Indonesia has implemented and proven successful soft power application. Through this forum will be seen, is this forum can improve Indonesian soft power or not.
