Abstract
This study aimed to analyze the influence of personal background, political background, knowledge and understanding of the members of parliament of the members of parliament in monitoring capabilities Regional Finance (Budget) sleman District. The analysis tool used is multiple linear regression. The study was conducted in January- February 2012 in the Office of Sleman district legislature with the entire population of the 50 respondents legislators period 2009-2014. Based on the analysis of the determinants of legislators capabilities in the area of financial supervision of Sleman district can be concluded that individually Personal background, Political background, Councillor knowledge about the budget, and understanding of the Regulatory Board Member, is a real and positive impact on legislators capabilities in the area of financial control (budget) in Sleman district. Likewise together four variables also affect the capability of members of parliament in the area of financial control (budget) in Sleman district, the test results of determination (R2) is quite high, amounting to 0.7424. Keywords: capability in monitoring budget, Personal background, Political background, knowledge of members of parliament in the budget ordinance and understanding of legislation.
