Abstract
This thesis discuss about the EPA’s role in addressing the problem of air pollution in the United States. EPA as an agency of the U.S. federal government have a mission to protect the environment and human health, especially from air pollution problem by creating and enforcing regulations based on laws passed by Congress and Clean Air Act. In this case EPA roles work to create air quality standard for six kind of pollutant, implements the regulation of Clean Air Act, and promote the programs from the office of Transportation and Air Quality (OTAQ). Besides, EPA also invite the other country and industry group to address the global air pollution by doing cooperation and partnership international with EPA. Through this role, then the EPA can reduce the levels of air pollution in the U.S. thereby create good air quality and protection of human health Keywords : EPA, EPA air enforcement, OTAQ, cooperation
