Abstract
ABSTRAK
Beragam aliran band indie muncul di industri musik, seperti genre pop, punk,
emo, hardcore, jazz dan lain lain. Seperti halnya di daerah kota Yogyakarta
banyak sekali komunitas band indie yang tersebar. Keragaman genre musik indie
inilah yang mengakibatkan persaingan di industri musik saat ini. Genre indie
metal yang ingin masuk ke industri mayor label berlomba untukmembuat lagu
yang hardcore sedangkan genre musik non metal lebih memilih kualitas musik
mereka daripada mengikuti selera pasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
mengetahui pola komunikasi antar komunitas band indie di kota Yogyakarta
dalam menjalin rasa kesetiakawanan diantara mereka terutama band indie yang
mengusung genre metal. Hal ini berkaitan dengan komunitas mereka yang
menjadi cemoohan band indie dengan genre diluar metal yang cenderung idealis
dan mengedepankan skill musik mereka. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah
penelitian kualitatif, menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Teknik
pengumpulan data yaitu dari wawancara, dokumentasi, kepustakaan, dan
observasi. Teknik analisis data yaitu dengan analisis deskriptif kualitatif.
Penelitian ini menggunakan teori komunikasi interpersonal, Dalam penelitian ini
komunikasi interpersonal akan dilihat dalam interaksi antar anggota komunitas
yang ada sebagai sebuah kegiatan yang menghasilkan sebuah makna tersendiri
dan usaha membaca pesan dari hasil pertukaran antar interaksi yang ada. Pola
komunikasi Interpersonal terjadi di dalam komunitas band indie metal Yogyakarta
di saat mereka latihan atau kumpul bersama, sedangkan cemoohan- cemoohan
dari dunia luar membuat mereka melakukan pola komunikasi apatis dan tidak
terlalu menanggapi hal tersebut.
ABSTRACT
Various genre of indie bands appears in the music industry, such as the genre of
pop , punk , emo , hardcore , jazz and others. As in so many areas just like
Yogyakarta indie bands communities spread out the city. This indie music genre
diversity has resulted in competition in the music industry today. Indie metal
genre who want to get into the major label industry are racing to make hardcore
song while the non-metal genre of music rather than the quality of their music
tastes follow the market. This study aims to determine the pattern of
communication between the community of indie bands in the city of Yogyakarta
in
establishing a sense of solidarity among them especially indie bands that brought
the genre of metal. This relates to their communities that is offensive indie bands
with genres outside of metal that tends idealistic and promote their music skills.
The research method is qualitative research , using descriptive research. Data
collection techniques are from interviews , documentation , literature , and
observation. Data analysis techniques , namely the qualitative descriptive
analysis. This study uses the theory of interpersonal communication ,
interpersonal communication in this study will be seen in the interaction between
members of the existing community as an activity that produces a distinct
meaning
and attempt to read a message from the interaction between existing exchanges.

existing. Interpersonal communication patterns occur in the community in
Yogyakarta metal indie band when they exercise or gathered together, while the
scorn-scorn from the outside world to make them perform communication
patterns and less apathetic response thereto.
