Abstract
ABSTRAK
Pendidikan Profesi Akuntansi (PPAk) penting bagi mahasiswa jurusan
akuntansi sebab Pendidikan Profesi Akuntansi dapat memberikan konsytibusi
untuk menjadi seorang akuntan yang profesional. Mengingat pentingnya
Pendidikan Profesi Akuntansi bagi mahasiswa akuntansi maka diperlukan
motivasi dari dalam diri mahasiswa terhadap minat untuk mengiuti Pendidikan
Profesi Akuntansi, yang diharapkan dapat mencapai tujuan yang diinginkan
mahasiswa tersebut menjadi seorang akuntan.
Untuk itu tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan
membuktikan apakah motivasi sosial, motivasi karir, motivasi ekonomi, dan
motivasi kualitas berpengaruh terhadap minat mahasiswa akuntansi untuk
mengikuti Pendidikan Profesi Akuntansi (PPAk) .
Obyek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa akuntansi yang ada di UPN, UGM,
UNY, UII, STIE YKPN, SANATA DHARMA. Sempel dalam penelitian ini
berjumlah 284 responden terpilih dari 300 kuisioner kepada rerponden yang telah
disebarkan. Untuk menjawab perumusan, tujuan dan hipotesis penelitian maka
analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pengujian hipotesis yang telah dilakukan
dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa motivasi sosial dan ekonomi mempunyai
pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap minat mahasiswa akuntansi untuk mengikuti
PPAk sedangkan motivasi karir dan motivasi kualitas tidak berpengaruh secara
signifikan terhadap minat mahsiswa aluntansi untuk mengikuti PPAk.
Kata Kunci: motivasi sosial, motivasi karir, motivasi ekonomi, motivasi kualitas,
minat mahasiswa akuntansi untuk mengikuti PPAk.
ABSTRACT
Education Accounting Proffesion (PPAk) is important for accounting
students because Education Accounting Proffesion can give contribution to be a
professional accountant. Given the importance of Education Accounting
Proffesion for accountant students, So it is necessary a motivation from within the
student againts interest to join Education Accounting Proffesion, which is
expected to achieve a goal that expected by students to be an accountant.
Purposes of this research are to know and to prove whether social
motivation, carrier motivation, economic motivation, and quality motivation take
an effect on accounting student’s interest to join PPAk (PPAk) .
The objects of this research are accounting student in UPN, UGM, UNY,
UII, STIE YKPN, SANATA DHARMA. The samples in this research amounted
to 284 selected respondents from 300 questionnaire to respondents who have
deployed. To answer formulation, objectives and hypotheses of this research so
the analysis used is multiple linear regression analisys.
Based on the results of research and hypotheses testing that has been
done, it can be decuded that social motivation and economic motivation has
significant influence againts accounting student’s interest to join PPAk whereas
carrier motivation and quality motivation has significant influence againts
accounting student’s interest to join PPAk.
