Abstract
ABSTRAK Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa (UKM) dan Kelompok Studi Mahasiswa (KSM) merupakan Organisasi kemahasiswaan berada di Universitas yang bergerak dibidang Audio Visual atau film. Seperti UKM Jamaah Cinema Mahasiswa UIN Kalijaga dan KSM AVIKOM UPN Veteran Yogyakata. Tujuan melakukan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui pola komunikasi organisasi kemahasiswan yang terjadi pada UKM Jamaah Cinema Mahasiswa dan KSM AVIKOM. Untuk mengetahui hambatan-hambatan yang terjadi dalam proses komunikasi organisasi dan untuk mengetahui penggunaan media dalam menyampaikan informasi kepada semua anggota organisasi kemahasiswaan pada UKM Jamaah Cinema Mahasiswa dan KSM AVIKOM UPN Veteran Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi kepustakaan. Validitasnya di uji dengan menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola komunikasi organisasi yang terjadi di UKM Jamaah Cinema Mahasiswa dan KSM AVIKOM menghasilkan aliran komunikasi, yaitu aliran komunikasi vertikal yang terbagi menjadi dua yaitu komunikasi ke atas (upward communication) dan komunikasi kebawah (downward communication). Aliran komunikasi organisasi yang lain adalah komunikasi horisontal, komunikasi diagonal. Terjadi hambatan dalam komunikasi organisasi, dari terjadinya hambatan kedua organisasi sama-sama didiskusikan bersama atau sharing sebagai cara mengatasi hambatan yang ada didalam komunikasi organisasi kemahasiswaan. Penggunaan media di kedua organisasi tersebut untuk menyampaikan informasi kepada semua anggota, baik informasi formal maupun informal. ABSTRACT Student Activity Unit (UKM) and Student Study Group (KSM) is a student organization at the University in the field of Audio Visual or movie. SMEs such as Jemaah Cinema Student UIN Kalidjaga and KSM AVIKOM UPN Veteran Yogyakata. The purpose of doing this study is to determine the patterns of communication that occurs on the Student Affairs organization UKM Jemaah Student Cinema and KSM AVIKOM. To know the obstacles that occur in the process of organizational communication and to determine the use of media in conveying information to all members of student organizations on UKM Jemaah Cinema Students and KSM AVIKOM UPN Veteran Yogyakarta. This study used a qualitative descriptive method. Data was obtained through interviews, observation, and literature study. The validity test by using triangulation source. The results showed that the patterns of communication that occurs in the UKM organization Jemaah Cinema Students and KSM AVIKOM generate a flow of communication, the communication flow is divided vertically into two communication upward (upward communication) and the communication down (downward communication). Other organizational communication flow is horizontal communication, communication diagonal. Barriers occur in organizational communication, from the constraints of both organizations are equally discussed together or sharing as a way of overcoming communication barriers that exist within student organizations. The use of media in both organizations to deliver information to all members, both formal and informal information.
