Abstract
This study aims to analyze the determinants of economic growth in regencies/municipalities in West Java Province during the 2020–2024 period. The focus of this research is to examine the influence of labor force, investment, and the Human Development Index (HDI) on regional economic growth. The data used are secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and other relevant institutions. The analysis was carried out using a quantitative approach through panel data regression, with the selection of the best model based on the Chow and Hausman tests, resulting in the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) as the primary estimation method. The results show that labor force, investment, and HDI simultaneously have a significant effect on economic growth in West Java's regencies and municipalities. Partially, all three variables also exhibit a positive and significant influence. These findings indicate that regional economic growth is strongly influenced by the optimization of labor absorption, effective investment realization, and improvements in human capital quality. Therefore, this research is expected to serve as a valuable reference for local governments in formulating inclusive and sustainable regional economic development policies.
