Abstract
RESPON PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL BEBERAPA VARIETAS
BAWANG MERAH (Allium ascalonicum L.) TSS (True Shallot Seed) PADA
BERBAGAI KONSENTRASI PUPUK SILIKA DI LAHAN PASIR,
SRIGADING, SANDEN, BANTUL, D. I. YOGYAKARTA

ABSTRAK
Bawang merah (Allium ascalonicum L.) merupakan salah satu komoditas
yang banyak dibudidayakan di Indonesia serta memiliki permintaan yang tinggi.
Varietas dan pemupukan akan mempengaruhi produktivitas bawang merah.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan dan hasil bawang merah
pada beberapa varietas asal biji (TSS) dan pengaruh konsentrasi pupuk silika.
Penelitian dilaksanakan di lahan pasir Kelompok Tani Pasir Makmur, Srigading,
Sanden, Bantul, D. I. Yogyakarta pada bulan Desember 2024 – Mei 2025. Metode
penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL) dengan 2
faktor, yaitu varietas bawang merah (Sanren, Lokananta, dan Merdeka) dan
konsentrasi pupuk silika (0, 5 dan 10 mL/L). Data dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA
dan uji DMRT taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan interaksi varietas Sanren
dan konsentrasi silika 10 mL/L pada parameter jumlah daun 60 HST, bobot umbi
basah per rumpun, kandungan silika dan ketebalan kutikula daun. Perlakuan
varietas Sanren dan Merdeka memberikan hasil sama baik pada parameter jumlah
daun umur 10 dan 50 HST, jumlah anakan umur 40 HST, jumlah umbi per rumpun,
bobot umbi basah per petak, bobot umbi kering angin per petak, susut bobot umbi
per rumpun dan per petak, indeks panen, dan hasil umbi per hektar. Perlakuan
konsentrasi pupuk silika 10 mL/L memberikan hasil terbaik pada parameter umur
panen, jumlah umbi per rumpun, bobot umbi basah per petak, bobot umbi kering
angin per petak, indeks panen dan hasil umbi per hektar.

FERTILIZER CONCENTRATIONS IN COASTAL AREA, SRIGADING,
SANDEN, BANTUL, D. I. YOGYAKARTA

ABSTRACT
Shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.) are one of the commodities that are widely
cultivated in Indonesia and have a high demand. Varieties and fertilization will
affect the productivity of shallots. This study aims to determine the growth and yield
of shallots in several varieties of seed origin (TSS) and the effect of silica fertilizer
concentration. The research was carried out in the coastal area of the Pasir
Makmur Farmers Group, Srigading, Sanden, Bantul, D. I. Yogyakarta in December
2024 – May 2025. The research method used a Randomized Completely Block
Design (RCBD) with 2 factors, namely shallot varieties (Sanren, Lokananta, and
Merdeka) and silica fertilizer concentrations (0, 5 and 10 mL/L). The data was
analyzed using ANOVA and a 5% DMRT test. The results showed the interaction
of Sanren varieties and silica concentration of 10 mL/L in the parameters of leaf
count 60 DAP, weight of wet bulbs per clump, silica content and leaf cuticle
thickness. The treatment of Sanren and Merdeka varieties gave the same results
both in the parameters of the number of leaves aged 10 and 50 DAP, the number of
tillers aged 40 DAP, the number of bulbs per clump, the weight of wet bulbs per
plot, the weight of cured bulbs per plot, the shrinkage of bulbs per clump and per
plot, the harvest index, and the yield of bulbs per hectare. The silica fertilizer
concentration treatment of 10 mL/L gave the best results on the parameters of
harvest age, number of bulbs per clump, weight of wet bulbs per plot, weight of
cured bulbs per plot, harvest index and bulb yield per hectare.
