Abstract

RINGKASAN Penelitian dilakukan di PT. Pipit Mutiara Jaya yang berlokasi di Desa Bebatu, Kecamatan Sesayap Hilir, Kabupaten Tana Tidung Provinsi Kalimantan Utara. Kegiatan Penambangan Batubara di PT. Pipit Mutiara Jaya menggunakan sistem tambang terbuka dengan metode strip mine. Sistem penyaliran yang digunakan adalah mine dewatering. sumber air berasal dari air hujan dan air limpasan dibiarkan mengalir masuk kedalam sumuran, kemudian dikeluarkan dengan cara pemompaan. Saat musim hujan di PT. Pipit Mutiara Jaya sering terjadi genangan dan luapan air di lantai dasar tambang dikarenakan volume air hujan dan air limpasan yang masuk kedalam lokasi tambang cukup besar namun volume sumuran tidak cukup untuk menampung air yang masuk. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya kajian terhadap sistem penyaliran tambang yang ada. Berdasarkan analisis data curah hujan tahun 2005-2014, diperoleh curah hujan rencana sebesar 127,94 mm/hari, intensitas curah hujan sebesar 44,36 mm/jam dengan periode ulang hujan 3 tahun dan resiko hidrologi 86,83 %. Lokasi penambangan PT. Pipit Mutiara Jaya dibagi menjadi 3 Daerah Tangkapan Hujan (DTH) yaitu DTH I = 0,49 km², DTH IIA = 1,14 km², DTH IIB = 0,83 km², dengan total debit air yang masuk ke Sumuran Pit Small sebesar 3,194 m3/detik. Total debit air yang dapat dialihkan atau yang masuk ke Sumuran Utama sebesar 9,19 m3/detik. Terdapat 1 saluran terbuka untuk mencegah air limpasan tidak masuk ke dalam Pit Small. Debit air limpasan yang masuk kesaluran terbuka adalah 3,07 m3/detik. Dimensi saluran terbuka dibuat berdasarkan rumus Manning dengan dimensi saluran berbentuk trapesium sebagai berikut: h = 1,4 m; b = 1,4 m; B = 2,7 m; a = 1,4 m ; d = 1,2 m Volume sumuran dihitung berdasarkan selisih jumlah air yang masuk dan debit pemompaan. Sumuran Pit Small menggunakan 1 pompa KSB type LCC – H 200 – 610 dengan debit 500 m3/jam dan volume sumuran 21.244,5 m3. Sumuran Utama menggunakan pompa Sykes model HH 160 iSS dengan debit 400 m3/jam. ABSTRACT Research was conducted at PT. Pipit Mutiara Jaya that located in Bebatu, Sesayap Hilir, district of Tana Tidung , North Kalimantan Province. Coal mining activities at Pipit Mutiara Jaya using surface mining system with strip mine method. Water Management system that used is mine dewatering.Water sources comes from rainwater and runoff water that intentionally flowed into the sump, and then flowed out by using of pumping system. When the rainy season in the PT. Pipit Mutiara Jaya frequently flooded with water on mining front due to the volume of rainwater and runoff water into the mine site is quite large, but the sump volume is not enough to accommodate incoming water. Because of that, evaluation of water management is needed. Based on analysis of rainfall data for the year 2005-2014, the plan obtained by precipitation is 127,94 mm/day, the intensity of rainfall is 44,36 mm/hours with a 3 year return period rainfall and hydrological risk of 86,83 % . The location of mining company is devided into 3 regional catchment catchment area I= 0,49 km², catchment area IIA= 1,14 km², catchment area II B = 0,83 km², area of rainfall with total discharge entry to sumps Pit Small are 3,194 m3/second. Total discharge amount diverted or entry to Main Sumps are 9,19 m3/second. There are 1 open channels to prevent runoff water did not get into the Pit Small. The water debit was into Open Channel 1 is 3,07 m3/s. Dimensions of tapezoid open channel based on Manning’s formula as shown below: h = 1,4 m; b = 1,4 m; B = 2,7 m; a = 1,4 m ; d = 1,2 m Sump’s volume is calculated based difference on the number of water entry and pumping discharge. Pit Small Sump’s using 1 pumps KSB type LCC – H 200 – 610 with discharge 500 m3/hour and sump’s volume is 21.244,5 m3. Main Sump’s using Sykes model HH 160 iSS pumps with discharge 400 m3/hour.
