Abstract

Peanut is the second most important legume crop after soybean in Indonesia. Peanut
cultivation has constraints that can inhibit growth and reduce production yields.
Constraints that are often encountered in peanut cultivation are pests and plant
diseases. This research aimed to determine the effect and appropriate consentration
of papaya leaves extract and soursop leaves extract to control pests of peanuts. The
research has been carried out at the Merden Village, Padureso District, Kebumen
Regency, Jawa Tengah in January - April 2024. The research has been conducted
with a Completely Randomized Block Design (CRBD) with one factor. Application
of herbal pesticides of papaya leaf extract and soursop leaf extract at various
concentrations is effective in controlling pests on peanut plants. Treatment papaya
leaf extract 8% (P3) and soursop leaf extract 10% (P6) was the best concentration
in controlling pests on peanut plants.
