INTISARI
Limbah cair kelapa sawit adalah limbah yang dihasilkan dari kegiatan
pengolahan kelapa sawit di PTPN VI Unit Usaha PKS Bunut. Limbah cair kelapa sawit
yang dihasilkan tidak langsung dilakukan pengelolaan. Limbah cair kelapa sawit jika
terlalu lama ditimbun menyababkan pencemaran lingkungan sekitar karena
mempunyai parameter (pH,BOD,COD, minyak dan lemak) yang kurang baik. Salah
satu tindakan yang dapat dilakukan yaitu dengan cara memanfaatkan limbah cair
tersebut sebagai sumber bahan organik tanah (Land Aplication). Namun limbah cair
kelapa sawit yang diberikan langsung ke tanah tanpa ada campuran bahan lain belum
mampu menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan. Oleh karena itu, perlu diupayakan
sentuhan teknologi guna pemanfaatan limbah cair kelapa sawit supaya lebih optimal.
Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan penambahan dolomit. Tujuan dari
penelitian ini adalah menganalisis kualitas air limbah kelapa sawit, serta mengkaji
pengaruh pemberian dolomit dan limbah cair pabrik kelapa sawit terhadap sifat kimia
tanah (pH, C-Organik, N-Total, dan KTK), dan memberikan arahan pengelolaan
mengenai efektivitas pemberian limbah cair kelapa sawit sebagai pupuk cair pada
tanah.
Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Pengambilan sampel tanah,
limbah cair kelapa sawit dilakukan dengan metode Purposive Sampling. Purposive
sampling ini dilakukan dengan melakukan beberapa pertimbangan dengan kriteria
tertentu. Sampel yang telah diambil dilakukan pengujian kandungan sifat kimia di
laboratorium untuk mengetahui kandungan kimia pada setiap sampel. Evaluasi data
pada penelitian menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap Non Faktorial.
Arahan pengelolaan limbah cair kelapa sawit dan dolomit diberikan berdasarkan
komposisi dosis optimum yang digunakan.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa karakteristik limbah cair kelapa sawit
memiliki pH 7,81, BOD 427,6, COD 874,9, Minyak dan Lemak 31,0. Analisis tanah
awal sebelum dilakukan percobaan memiliki pH 5,37, C-Organik 0,8225, N-Total
0,1755, dan KTK 12,52 yang tergolong kriteria rendah. Pemberian limbah cair kelapa
sawit dan dolomit berpengaruh nyata pada taraf 5% terhadap semua parameter sifat
kimia tanah seperti pH, C-Organiik, N-Total, dan KTK. Efektivitas pemberian limbah
cair kelapa sawit dan dolomit ini memiliki dosis terbaik yaitu pada dosis dolomit 60
gram dan dosis LCPKS (Limbah Cair Pabrik Kelapa Sawit) 600 ml. Arahan
pengelolaan yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan teknik penyebaran limbah cair kelapa
sawit ini menggunakan Flatbed system seperti sistem parit datar yang berisi limbah
cair kelapa sawit dengan kolam-kolam datar bersambung.

ABSTRACT
Palm oil liquid waste is waste produced from palm oil processing activities at
PTPN VI Bunut PKS Business Unit. The liquid palm oil waste produced is not directly
managed. Palm oil liquid waste, if stored for too long, causes environmental pollution
because it has poor parameters (pH, BOD, COD, oil and fat). One of the actions that
can be taken is by utilizing the liquid waste as a source of soil organic matter (Land
Application). However, oil palm liquid waste that is given directly to the soil without
any mixture of other materials has not been able to show significant results. Therefore,
it is necessary to strive for a touch of technology to make the use of palm oil liquid
waste more optimal. One way that can be done is by adding dolomite. The purpose of
this study is to analyze the quality of oil palm wastewater, as well as to examine the
effect of dolomite and liquid waste from palm oil mills on soil chemistry (pH, C-
Organic, N-Total, and KTK), and provide management directions regarding the
effectiveness of providing oil palm liquid waste as liquid fertilizer in the soil.
The research uses a quantitative method. Soil sampling, oil palm liquid waste
was carried out using the Purposive Sampling method. This purposive sampling is
carried out by making several considerations with certain criteria. The samples that
have been taken are tested for chemical properties in the laboratory to determine the
chemical content of each sample. The data evaluation in the study used the Non-
Factorial Complete Random Design method. Directions for the management of oil
palm and dolomite liquid waste are given based on the optimal dosage composition
used.
The results of the study showed that the characteristics of oil palm liquid waste
had a pH of 7.81, BOD 427.6, COD 874.9, Oil and Fat 31.0. The initial soil analysis
before the experiment had a pH of 5.37, C-Organic 0.8225, N-Total 0.1755, and KTK
12.52 which were classified as low criteria. The application of oil palm and dolomite
liquid waste has a real effect at the level of 5% on all soil chemical property
parameters such as pH, C-Organic, N-Total, and KTK. The effectiveness of providing
palm oil and dolomite liquid waste has the best dose, namely at a dose of 60 grams of
dolomite and a dose of LCPKS (Oil Palm Mill Liquid Waste) of 600 ml. The
management direction that can be carried out is by spreading this oil palm liquid waste
technique using a Flatbed system such as a flat trench system containing oil palm
liquid waste with connected flat ponds.
