SUMUR GAS “MI-28” LAPANGAN “MLD”
FORMASI BATURAJA

Sumur MI-28 merupakan sumur gas yang dikelola oleh Pertamina Hulu Rokan
Regional 1. Sumur ini telah mengalami penurunan laju produksi dari 1.632 Mmscfd
menjadi 0.858 Mmscfd yang disebabkan karena adanya kerusakan disekitar lubang
sumur yaitu adanya endapan scale yang menghambat laju produksi. Berdasarkan
hasil well test, diketahui bahwa sumur ini telah mengalami formation damage
dengan nilai skin +71. Oleh karena itu, pada sumur “MI-28” telah dilakukan
stimulasi matrix acidizing untuk mengembalikan laju produksi sesuai dengan
potensi sumur tersebut.
Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan matrix acidizing pada sumur “MI-28”
yaitu metode nitrified acid dengan coiled tubing unit, dimana penginjeksian fluida
asam bersamaan dengan nitrogen ke dalam formasi dengan tekanan injeksi di
bawah tekanan rekah formasi, sehingga asam dapat mengalir secara radial. Fluida
asam langsung dialirkan melalui zona perforasi dan diangkat kembali (flowback) ke
permukaan. Jenis asam yang digunakan yaitu asam HCl dengan konsentrasi 15%
yang digunakan sebagai main treatment untuk menghilangkan material scale
CaCO3 di sekitar lubang sumur.
Evaluasi keberhasilan ditinjau dari segi produksi dengan membandingkan
parameter sebelum dan sesudah matrix acidizing, yaitu peningkatan laju produksi
gas dimana sebelum dilakukan matrix acidizing memiliki laju alir gas (Qg) 0.858
Mmscfd, Productivity Index (PI) sebesar 0.009 Mmscfd/psi, AOFP sebesar 3.19
Mmscfd, nilai skin sebesar +71 dan Flow efficiency (FE) sebesar 0.12. Setelah
dilakukan matrix acidizing diperoleh laju alir gas (Qg) 3.019 Mmscfd, Productivity
Index (PI) sebesar 0.03 Mmscfd/psi, AOFP sebesar 11.23 Mmscfd, nilai skin
sebesar -5 dan Flow efficiency (FE) sebesar 0.4. Peningkatan parameter produksi
dan pengurangan harga skin, menunjukkan pelaksanaan stimulasi matrix acidizing
berhasil.

The MI-28 well is a gas well managed by Pertamina Hulu Rokan Regional 1. This
well has experienced a decline in production rate from 1.632 Mmscfd to 0.858
Mmscfd due to damage around the wellbore, including residual drilling and
completion fluids, as well as scale deposits that hinder the production rate. Based
on well test results, it was found that this well has experienced formation damage
with a skin value of +71. Therefore, matrix acidizing stimulation was performed on
the MI-28 well to restore its production rate to its potential.
The method used in the implementation of matrix acidizing in the well "MI-28" is
the nitrified acid method with a coiled tubing unit. The injection of acid fluid is
accompanied by nitrogen into the formation at an injection pressure below the
formation's fracture pressure, allowing the acid to flow radially. The acid fluid is
directly channeled through the perforated zone and then flowed back to the surface.
The type of acid used is HCl with a concentration of 15%, which is utilized as the
main treatment to remove CaCO3 scale material around the wellbore.
The evaluation results of the MI-28 well matrix acidizing stimulation before matrix
acidizing showed a gas flow rate (Qg) of 0.858 Mmscfd, a Productivity Index (PI)
of 0.009 Mmscfd/psi, an AOFP of 3.19 Mmscfd, a skin value of +71, and a Flow
Efficiency (FE) of 0.12. After matrix acidizing, the gas flow rate (Qg) increased to
3.019 Mmscfd, the Productivity Index (PI) to 0.03 Mmscfd/psi, the AOFP to 11.23
Mmscfd, the skin value to 0, and the Flow Efficiency (FE) to 0.4. The increase in
these various production parameters, along with the reduction in the skin value,
indicates that the matrix acidizing stimulation of the "MI-28" gas well was
successful.
