Abstract
Tanaman nangka (Artocarpus heterophyllus Lamk.) merupakan salah satu jenis tanaman hortikultura. Tanaman ini sangat banyak manfaatnya, selain dapat dikonsumsi dalam bentuk buah segar dan sayur juga dapat dijadikan sebagai tanaman pagar dan tanaman penahan erosi dalam sistem konservasi. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui letak biji dalam buah yang paling baik dalam menghasilkan bibit tanaman nangka dan mengetahui komposisi media tanam yang paling baik dalam pertumbuhan bibit tanaman nangka. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari 2014 sampai dengan Juni 2014 di Kebun Praktek Fakultas Pertanian UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta, Desa Wedomartani, Kecamatan Ngemplak, Kabupaten Sleman, DIY. Percobaan disusun berdasarkan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL) dua faktor, faktor pertama adalah letak biji dalam buah (L) terdiri dari tiga aras yaitu L1 = Letak biji pada pangkal buah, L2 = Letak biji pada tengah buah, L3 = Letak biji pada ujung buah dan faktor kedua adalah komposisi media tanam (M) yang terdiri dari empat aras yaitu M0 = tanah, M1 = tanah : kompos (1 : 1 ), M2 = tanah : pasir (1: 1), M3 = tanah : kompos : pasir (2 : 1 : 1). Masing-masing faktor diulang tiga kali, tiap kombinasi perlakuan terdiri atas 12 tanaman. Parameter pengamatan meliputi : Kecepatan berkecambah (minggu), Daya kecambah (%), Diameter batang (mm), Tinggi tanaman (cm), Persentase bibit hidup (%), Jumlah daun (helai), Berat kering tajuk (g), Berat kering akar (g), Luas daun tanaman (cm2). Data hasil pengamatan dianalisis dengan menggunakan sidik ragam pada jenjang nyata 5%. Untuk mengetahui beda nyata antar perlakuan akan diuji lanjut menggunakan uji DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) dengan jenjang nyata 5 %. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan letak biji bagian tengah merupakan letak biji yang paling baik dilihat dari hasil parameter kecepatan berkecambah, diameter batang, tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun dan luas daun. Komposisi media tanam 2 tanah : 1 pasir : 1 kompos (M3) sama baik dengan komposisi media tanam 1 tanah : 1 pasir (M1) dan 1 tanah : 1 kompos (M2), tetapi komposisi media tanam 2 tanah : 1 pasir : 1 kompos (M3) lebih baik dibandingkan komposisi media tanam tanah (M0). Ada interaksi antara letak biji dalam buah dan komposisi media tanam pada parameter berat kering tajuk, kombinasi L2M3 lebih berat dari pada L1M0 dan L1M0. This plant is very much beneficial, but can be consumed in the form of fresh fruit and vegetables can also be used as a hedge plant and plant barriers to erosion in the conservation system. The purpose of research is to determine the location of the seeds in the fruit well in producing jackfruit plant seeds and determine the composition of the media best planting jackfruit seed plant growth. The experiment was conducted in February 2014 through to June 2014 in the gardens of the Faculty of Agriculture Practice UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta, Wedomartani Village, District Ngemplak, Sleman, Yogyakarta. The experiment is based on a randomized block design Complete (RAKL) two factors, the first factor is the location of the seeds within the fruit (L) consists of three levels, namely L1 = Location of seeds at the base of the fruit, L2 = Location of the seeds in the middle of the fruit, L3 = Location of seeds at the end of the fruit and the second factor is the composition of the planting medium (M) which consists of four levels, namely M0 = ground, M1 = soil: compost (1: 1), M2 = soil: sand (1: 1), M3 = soil: compost: sand (2: 1: 1). Each factor was repeated three times, each combination treatment consisting of 12 plants. Observation parameters include: speed germination (weeks), Power germination (%), stem diameter (mm), plant height (cm), percentage of live seed (%), number of leaves (strands), shoot dry weight (g), dry weight root (g), the plant leaf area (cm2). The data were analyzed using analysis of variance at 5% significance level. To know the real difference between treatments will be tested further using DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) with a 5% significance level. The results showed the location of the center of the seed is the seed lies the best seen from the results of germination speed parameters, stem diameter, plant height, number of leaves and leaf area. The composition of the soil planting medium 2: 1 sand: 1 compost (M3) equally well with the composition of the soil planting medium 1: 1 sand (M1) and 1 soil: 1 compost (M2), but the composition of the soil planting medium 2: 1 sand: 1 compost (M3) is better than the composition of the soil planting medium (M0). There is an interaction between the location and composition of the seeds in the fruit growing media on shoot dry weight parameters, a combination L2M3 heavier than the L1M0 and L1M0.
