RINGKASAN
ANALISA KEEKONOMIAN INJEKSI CO2 LAPANGAN “WN”
MENGGUNAKAN SKEMA PRODUCTION SHARING
CONTRACT - GROSS SPLIT UNTUK PERPANJANGAN
KONTRAK LAPANGAN

Desember 2023, biaya operasional sebesar 15 USD/BBL, pajak sebesar 40%

ABSTRACT
ANALYSIS OF CO2 INJECTION ECONOMY IN “WN” FIELD
USING PRODUCTION SHARING CONTRACT - GROSS SPLIT
SCHEME FOR FIELD CONTRACT EXTENSION

The "WN" field, located in the South Sumatra Basin, will execute a contract
extension using the Production Sharing Contract (PSC) Gross Split scheme. The
extension involves the addition of 1 infill well and 4 CO2 Injection wells to maintain
production. Hence, an economic analysis will determine whether the selected
scenario benefits both the Contractor and the Government.
We conduct economic analysis in the "WN" field by applying the PSC Gross Split
scheme and a series of assumptions for calculations. These assumptions include an
oil price of 75 USD/BBL, operational costs of 15 USD/BBL, a tax rate of 40% with
a 2% escalation rate, a discount rate of 10%, MARR (Minimum Acceptable Rate of
Return) of 15%, and the utilization of the double declining balance depreciation
method over 5 years.
The calculations and economic analysis reveal that Scenario 2, involving the
addition of 1 infill well and 4 Water-Alternating Gas CO2 Injection wells,
represents the optimal proposal for the contract extension of the "WN" field. It
yields an NPV (Net Present Value) of 45.3 MMUSD, an IRR (Internal Rate of
Return) of 61.54%, a payback period of 1.6 years, a Profitability Index Ratio (PIR)
of 3.59, and a Discounted Payback Index Ratio (DPIR) of 1.43.
