Batik merupakan salah satu budaya Indonesia yang perlu dijaga dan dilestarikan.
Seiring perkembangan zaman, batik kini menjadi trend karena motifnya yang beragam dan
modern. Meningkatnya minat masyarakat akan budaya batik membuat banyaknya industri
batik dari berbagai skala mulai memproduksi batik. Salah satu industri batik terletak di
Kalurahan Wijirejo. Limbah cair yang dihasilkan dari industri batik di daerah penelitian
langsung dialirkan ke saluran terdekat menuju Sungai Bedog tanpa dilakukan pengolahan
sebelumnya, sehingga berpotensi mencemari lingkungan. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini
yaitu menganalisis kualitas limbah cair home industry batik di daerah penelitian,
menganalisis kualitas dan status mutu air sungai serta mengevaluasi air buangan di daerah
penelitian, dan merancang arahan pengelolaan untuk limbah cair home industry batik
terhadap air sungai di daerah penelitian.
Pengumpulan data primer dan sekunder dilakukan dengan metode survei dan
pemetaan. Metode purposive sampling dilakukan untuk pengambilan sampel air sungai,
sedangkan metode grab sampling digunakan untuk pengambilan sampel limbah cair batik.
Metode uji laboratorium dilakukan untuk mengetahui kualitas air sungai dan limbah cair
batik. Metode uji coba pada skala laboratorium dilakukan dengan menggunakan biofilter
anaerob dan aerob. Metode evaluasi standar stream dan effluen dilakukan untuk
mengetahui kualitas air buangan dan daya tampung beban pencemaran air sungai. Metode
indeks pencemaran dilakukan untuk mengetahui tingkat pencemaran air sungai. Metode
analisis desktiptif digunakan untuk menganalisis kaitan dari seluruh data yang telah
didapatkan.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kualitas limbah cair batik memiliki 7 dari 9
parameter uji yang melebihi baku mutu. Kualitas air sungai di semua titik masih terdapat
parameter uji yang belum memenuhi baku mutu, namun LP23 merupakan titik yang
parameternya paling banyak melebihi baku mutu. Status mutu air sungai di daerah
penelitian terrmasuk ke dalam katogeri memenuhi baku mutu hingga tercemar berat. Hasil
evalusi kualitas air buangan yang telah dilakukan, hanya pada outlet 1 (LP14)
dengan standar effluen yang parameter ujinya semua memenuhi baku mutu. Hasil
pengolahan limbah cair batik dengan biofilter anaerob dan aerob menggunakan bioball
selama 6 hari memiliki nilai efisiensi lebih besar dibandingkan dengan biofilter selama 3
hari, namun masih terdapat parameter yang belum memenuhi baku mutu. Oleh karena itu
arahan pengelolaan yang disarankan untuk dilakukan yaitu dengan penambahan unit
berupa bak pemisah minyak dan lemak, bak ekualisasi, dan penambahan media arang aktif
pada masing-masing biofilter sebagai pendekatan teknologi, serta dilakukan pendekatan
sosial dan instansi.

ABSTRACT
Batik is one of Indonesia's cultures that needs to be maintained and preserved.
Along with the times, batik is now a trend because of its diverse and modern motifs. The
increasing public interest in batik culture has led many batik industries of various scales
to start producing batik. One of the batik industries is located in Wijirejo Village. Liquid
waste generated from the batik industry in the research area is directly flowed into the
nearest channel to the Bedog River without prior treatment, thus potentially polluting the
environment. The purpose of this research is to analyze the quality of batik home industry
liquid waste in the study area, analyze the quality and status of river water quality and
evaluate the discharge water in the study area, and design management directions for
batik home industry liquid waste on river water in the study area.
Primary and secondary data were collected using survey and mapping methods.
The purposive sampling method was used for river water sampling, while the grab
sampling method was used for sampling batik liquid waste. Laboratory tests were
conducted to determine the quality of river water and batik wastewater. The test method
on a laboratory scale was carried out using anaerobic and aerobic biofilters. The stream
and effluent standard evaluation method is carried out to determine the quality of
wastewater and the capacity of the river water pollution load. The pollution index method
was conducted to determine the level of river water pollution. Descriptive analysis method
is used to analyze the relationship of all data that has been obtained.
The results showed that the quality of batik liquid waste had 7 out of 9 test
parameters that exceeded the quality standards. River water quality at all points still has
test parameters that do not meet quality standards, but LP23 is the point where the most
parameters exceed quality standards. The status of river water quality in the study area is
included in the category of meeting quality standards to heavily polluted. The results of
the evaluation of the effluent water quality that has been carried out, only at outlet 1
(LP14) with effluent standards whose test parameters all meet quality standards. The
results of processing batik wastewater with anaerobic and aerobic biofilters using bioballs
for 6 days have a greater efficiency value compared to biofilters for 3 days, but there are
still parameters that do not meet quality standards. Therefore, the management direction
that is recommended to be carried out is by adding units in the form of oil and fat
separation tanks, equalization tanks, and adding activated charcoal media to each
biofilter as a technological approach, as well as social and agency approaches.
