INTISARI
Kualitas airtanah berdasarkan indeks pencemaran termasuk kedalam kategori tercemar
berat dengan nilai Indeks Pencemaran berkisar antara 11,07 – 14,57. Kualitas limbah
penambahan unit operasi hybrid subsurface flow wetland.

ABSTRACT
Sentra Batik Giriloyo is a batik industry consisting of 3 villages, named
Giriloyo Village, Karangkulon Village, and Cengkehan Village. The process of making
batik requires a high quantity of water and produced waste such as in the process of
washing (nganji), dyeing (nyellup), and releasing wax (nglorod). The produced waste
has parameters such as high BOD and COD, and can contaminate the environment if
it is not managed optimally. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the vulnerability
and level of groundwater contamination due to batik wastewater, to evaluate batik
industry wastewater, design and determine the efficiency of hybrid constructed
wetland as an effort to optimize wastewater management.
The methods used in data collection are survey and mapping methods.
Purposive sampling method for water sampling. Laboratory test methods are used to
determine the quality of groundwater and wastewater. The mathematical method
consists of the DRASTIC with modification method which is carried out to determine
the vulnerability of groundwater in the research area and is supported by the status of
water quality using the Pollution Index method, as well as the efficiency of laboratory
scale wastewater treatment using hybrid constructed wetland. Then, a descriptive
analysis was carried out to evaluate the results of all data obtained starting from field
surveys, laboratory tests, and the results of mathematical calculations
The results showed that the research area had 3 levels of vulnerability,
moderate (150-152), high (158-174) and very high (180-186). Groundwater quality
based on pollution index is included in the heavily polluted category with Pollution
Index values ranging from 11.07 – 14.57. The quality of batik wastewater in the
research area has 6 out of 8 parameters that do not meet quality standards with a pH
value of 12, BOD 1210 mg/L, COD 4961.3 mg/L, TSS 3200 mg/L, phenol 1.8036 mg/L,
oil and grease 24,666 mg/L. The results of the processing with the best efficiency were
the Echinodorus radicans plant variations which showed a decrease in pH of 35.83%,
COD 96.79%, TSS 98.31%, and total ammonia 97.58%. The recommended processing
direction for the research location is the addition of a subsurface flow wetland hybrid
operating unit
