Abstract
Limestone mining by PT. SugihAlamanugroho located in the
BedoyoVillage, District Ponjong, GunungKidul, Yogyakarta Special Region.
Mining activities that have been done include: clearing, overburden stripping,
dismantling, loading and transporting. All these activities will lead to positive and
negative impacts of the adverse local conditions. To prevent further negative
impact, after the mining is done landscaping and reclamation efforts are planned.
Under conditions of mined land and adapted to the existing layout, then
landscaping mined designated as production forest area. To support the
landscaping, the condition of the land must be fixed first is the arrangement of the
slope, redistributed overburden stockpiles, to replant (revegetation).
The problems that arise in the former mining land in PT.
SugihAlamanugroho is on some land that had been laid out still negatively impact
one of them is still soil erosion, which is due to the failure to apply the appropriate
method or system for soil erosion control activities. Based on the amount of
erosion in the study of mined land in the amount of 15.92 tonnes / ha / year and
can be included in the category of mild erosion. However, there needs to be a
method for controlling erosion, so erosion impacts are not greater, considering the
limestone mined area directly adjacent to agricultural land / plantation nearby
residents.
One such system for erosion control is a way of making the patio and then
performed revegetation. Terrace systems that can be applied to landscaping on
mined land in PT. SugihAlamanugroho is a way of making patio bench with a
slope of 30% which is intended as an addition to land for revegetation activities
are expected to work to reduce the rate of erosion.
Revegetation system that can be done is by making holes for planting / potting, it
is applied because given the limitations of the amount of top soil (top soil) that
exist. For the selection of crop plants can be chosen according to compatibility
with existing conditions, then the selected Jatiplant. In an effort to control plant
watering, replanting and fertilizer on a regular basis, so that it can be successful
revegetation activities and in accordance with what is expected. And one of his
goals is to control erosion in the limestone mined at PT. SugihAlamanugroho.
