Abstract
Telah dilakukan penelitian dan analisa kendali kedalaman terhadap karakteristik well logging pada batubara dengan menggunakan metode geofisika well logging. Penelitian dilakukan di daerah Siduung dan sekitarnya, Kecamatan Kelay, Kabupaten Berau, kalimantan Timur. Penelitian menggunakan data rekaman dari metode well logging antara lain gamma ray log dan density log serta hasil pemboran dari tiga line yang ada. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menganalisa defleksi kurva well logging untuk mengetahui respon well log pada batubara dan nilai densitas pada batubara serta menganalisa pola trendline pada grafik respon well log terhadap kedalaman. Dari hasil penelitian, diperoleh pembacaan log rendah pada batubara. Respon log relatif menurun terhadap kedalaman dengan pola log yang berkembang yaitu respon log besar berada pada bagian roof dan floor, respon relatif kecil pada bagian body lapisan batubara. Hubungan log gamma ray dan kedalaman sangat lemah, semakin kedalam respon log meningkat. Hubungan tersebut dipengaruh oleh proses yang terjadi pada saat batubara terbentuk,. Sedangkan antara log density dan kedalaman memiliki hubungan yang kuat, semakin dalam respon log semakin besar. Hubungan tersebut dipengaruhi oleh material yang terkandung di dalam batubara. A study and analysis of the characteristics of the well depth control logging on coal by using geophysical well logging. The study was conducted in the Siduung area, Kelay, Berau, East Borneo. The study used data from the recording well logging methods such as gamma ray logs and density logs and drilling results from three existing line. The study was conducted by analyzing the deflection curve well to study the response of well logging log on coal and coal density values and analyzes the trend line on the chart patterns of well log response with depth. From the research, log readings obtained low on coal. Log response decreases with depth with a growing pattern of the log of the log responses are on the roof and floor, the response is relatively small in body of the coal seam. Relationship gamma ray log and depth is very weak, the more into the log response increases. The relationship be affected by the process that occurs when coal is formed,. While between log density and depth have a strong relationship, the greater the log response. The relationship is influenced by the material contained in the coal.
