KURNIA NUR AFIYANTI. 2023. Analisis Komoditas Basis Subsektor
Perkebunan Di Kabupaten Kulon Progo, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Dibawah
arahan Dwi Aulia Puspitaningrum dan Budi Widayanto
ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menganalisis komoditas perkebunan yang
menjadi basis di tiap kecamatan di Kabupaten Kulon Progo (2) menganalisis
kontribusi tiap komoditas perkebunan terhadap subsektor perkebunan di Kabupaten
Kulon Progo (3) memetakan komoditas perkebunan yang menjadi basis di
Kabupaten Kulon Progo. Metode penelitian yang dugunakan adalah pendekatan
kuantitatif dan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Metode penetuan lokasi menggunakan
metode purposive. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder, yaitu data
produksi komoditas perkebunan dan data harga komoditas perkebunan dari tahun
2017-2021 di Kabupaten Kulon Progo. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu
analisis Location Quotient (LQ), analisis kontribusi, dan Sistem Informasi
Geografis (SIG). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) komoditas perkebunan
basis di Kabupaten Kulon Progo berdasarkan analisis LQ adalah kelapa, kakao,
kopi, teh, nilam, cengkeh, gebang, jambu mete, lada, dan tebu (2) kontribusi
komoditas perkebunan terhadap subsektor perkebunan yaitu: kelapa 43,52%, kakao
15,27%, cengkeh 13,98%, teh 7,88%, tebu 6,85%, nilam 5,90%, kopi 5,74%,
gebang 0,59%, jambu mete 0,15%, dan lada 0,11% (3) pemetaan menggunakan
ArcGIS 10.2 menunjukkan persebaran komoditas kelapa, kakao, cengkeh, teh, tebu,
nilam, kopi, gebang, jambu mete, dan lada yang dapat dikembangkan di Kulon
Progo.

ABSTRACT
This study aimed to (1) analyzed the plantation commodities that are the base for
each subdistrict in Kulon Progo District (2) analyzed the contribution of each
plantation commodity to the plantation subsector in Kulon Progo District (3)
created a map the plantation commodities that are the base in Kulon Progo District.
The research method used is quantitative approach and the research type is
descriptive. Location determination method uses purposive method. The type of
data used are secondary data, namely plantation commodity production data and
commodity prices data from 2017 to 2021 in Kulon Progo District. Data analysis
techniques used are Location Quotient (LQ) analysis, contribution analysis, and
Geographic Information System (GIS). The results of the reaserch showed that (1)
the basic plantation commodities in Kulon Progo District based on LQ analysis are
coconut, cocoa, coffee, tea, patchouli, clove, gebang, cashew, pepper, and
sugarcane (2) plantation commodities show different contribution rates to the
plantation subsector. Coconut at 43,52%, cocoa at 15,27%, colve at 13,98%, tea at
7,88%, sugarcane at 6,85%, patchouli at 5,90%, coffee at 5,74%, gebang at 0,59%,
cashew at 0,15%, and pepper at 0,11% (3) Mapping using ArcGIS 10.2 showed the
distribution of coconut, cocoa, clove, tea, sugarcane, patchouli, coffee, gebang,
cashew and pepper commodities that can be developed in Kulon Progo.
