Abstract

PT.
ABSTRACT
PT Marunda Grahamineral is one of coal mine company which the location is Kecamatan Laung
Tuhup, Kabupaten Murung Raya, Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah. Mining process PT.Marunda
Grahamineral applies surface mining system and backfilling method. Backfilling method is filling ex
pit coal with material overburden from it self . Acid mine drainage can happen because oxidation
process between sulfide material, water and air with the result we must stop the process between
sulfide material, water, air in order to three element can not contact directly. Passive method is
dumping overburden with right way until can minimize acid mine drainage happened. The mine
location is Pit X block Central kawi. That mine location is potential to make acid mine drainage
because overburden in location have pH < 5. Analysis classifaying potential acid mine drainage Mine
has the potential to cause acid mine drainage because there is a rock cover of X Pit locations that have
a pH <5. Analysis of the formation of acid mine drainage is done by correlating the drill point and the
match with an indication of which already exist in the current feasibility study, the cover rocks are
classified into 3 groups: topsoil is not as much acid-forming overburden 65455.06 LCM with a
potentially sour as much 33902.22 LCM and rock cover potentially not as much acid LCM
503638.46. Non Acid Forming (NAF) are materials that are not potentially cause acid mine drainage
while the Potentially Acid Forming (PAF) are materials that can potentially generate acid mine
drainage. How to hoarding being done to pit overburden X block CK (Central Kawi) is the way the
handling of overburden rock is a method of closing the lid that could potentially generate acid water
covered or coated with a layer of water produces little or no acid. This is done with consideration of
the availability of acid-forming overburden not more dominant in the amount of 78.3% is possible to
apply a combination of these methods and also consider the matrial is disassembled first, this is done
so that the sulfide minerals contained in the PAF material does not react with water and air which will
cause acid Mine Water. The method used is a merger between the cover rocks as thick as 2 feet
compacted NAF and NAF. Both are in use because it uses material from the material coating the mine
itself. Landfill located at three places namely Topsoil1, Topsoil2 and Disposal1. Locations for
stockpiling maetial PAF and NAF was placed on a site in order to facilitate stockpiling, topsoil will be
in for a second place for the spreading topsoil because sufficient elevation 150 mdpl.
