Abstract

The Research area lies the one of Total E&P Indonesie oil fields which located about 60 km southeast from Samarinda. Geographically lies on (990900-990200) NL and (528000-533000) EL (UTM). The research area of Munaz Field administratively lies on Kecamatan Muara Jawa, Kabupaten Kutai, and Province of East Kalimantan. The reservoir “RST” position in Munaz field is upper zone, which it is dominated by channel and mouthbar with distribution trending Northwest - Southeast, delta plain to delta front deposition environment with dominantly is oil and water, poorly consolidated, and high pressure so its need technique to overcome it.. The reservoir RST has thickness 31,7 meter, its stacked channel because multistory channel, some of single channel, and associated with mouth bar. Sequnce stratigraphy on this study area are 3 maximum flooding surface (MFS 1, MFS 2 and, 3 MFS 3) and 3 sequnce boundaries ( SB1, SB2 and SB3). Based on data analysis; SPUD year, DEQ, production data, fluid sampling data and ratio map, reservoir “RST” have 3 water oil contact that respective separated by normal faults. The reserve calculation of initial oil in place (IOIP) for water oil contact - 1353 mSs is 68,35 MMBBL for water oil contact - 1358 mSs is 44,76 MMBBL and for water oil contact - 1379 mSs is 51,25 MMBBL. The plan of development wells, Munaz field especially in the reservoir “RST” have potential for development towards to the middle area
