Abstract

The programme of making the qualities organic fertilizers derived from cow manure were conducted at Imogiri District, Regency of Bantul, from May until October 2015.The purpose of this programme was improving society skill on making organic fertilizers and bioactivator from rumen of catle.The methods of programme were : 1) giving counseling to livestock farmers who merged into group of Livestock Andini Sari and Mantap about: environmental contamination problem by waste of cow manure , and way of ctivator from rumen of cattle. The results of devotion activity to this societywere 1) can improve the society awareness specially group of farmer of livestock Andini Sariand Mantap about: a) the settlement ofdisposal, 2) Training and practice of making organic fertilizers( compost) having quality fromcow manure with Guano Phosfat added,3) Training and practice of making bio a cow manure become the economic valuable substance in order not to spoil environment b) cow manure become the organic manure (compost) which is good for crop 2) Canimprove skilled in making organic fertilizers ( compost) having quality from cow manure with Guano Phosfat added 3) The yielding of certifiable compost with the characteristic :dark brown color, granulous refine, not smell and content of element nutrientnamely:C-Organic 20.49 %, N-Total 1.41 %,available-P2O51.12 %,K2O 1.64 %,C/ N 14.53 for the compost of cow manure with 10% Guano Posfat added, C-Organic 19.68%, N-Total 1.13 %, available-P2O5 1.08 %, K2O 1.57%, C/N 17.41 for the compost of cow manure with 5% Guano Posfat added, C-Organic 25.19 %, N-Total 1.01 %, available-P205 0.73 %, K2O 2.09 %,C/N 25.19 for the compost of cow manure without Guano Posfat added, 4) Can improve skilled in making bioactivator from rumen of cattle and its produce, 5)The group of farmer of livestock was applying compost to the farm as an organic fertilizer and benefit from increased crop production, 6) Composting of cow manure is a business opportunity,so as to increase the income of livestock.
