PROVINSI JAWA TENGAH

Desa Mejing, Kecamatan Candimulyo, Kabupaten Magelang, Jawa Tengah
merupakan salah satu Desa yang mempunyai industri tahu berskala rumah tangga.
Namun, akan tetapi hingga saat ini belum terdapat upaya dalam pengelolaan limbah
cair tahu yang dihasilkan. Limbah cair tahu yang dihasilkan dari produksi selalu
dibuang langsung melalui selokan menuju badan sungai tanpa dilakukan pengolahan
terlebih dahulu. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengidentifikasi
karakteristik limbah cair tahu dan air sungai di lokasi penelitian, mengetahui tingkat
kerentanan air permukaan akibat pembuangan limbah cair tahu di daerah penelitian,
dan merekomendasikan arahan pengelolaan pencemaran untuk meningkatkan kualitas
air sungai terhadap pencemaran limbah cair industri tahu.
Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survei dan pemetaan, uji
laboratorium, analisis data dan analisis deskriptif. Metode survei dan pemetaan
merupakan teknik untuk memvisualisasikan data primer maupun data sekunder yang
telah didapatkan. Metode analisis data berupa skoring PCSM dengan software Arcgis
untuk melakukan overlay setiap parameter kerentanan air permukaan serta perhitungan
indeks pencemaran dengan 4 – 5 parameter uji kualitas air. Uji laboratorium dilakukan
pada sampel air limbah dan air sungai dengan teknik sampling puposive sampling serta
analisis deskriptif.
Hasil penelitian yang telah didapatkan menunjukkan bahwa kualitas air limbah
cair tahu dengan uji parameter BOD, COD, TSS, dan Ph masih ada parameter yang
tidak sesuai dengan baku mutu yang sudah ditetapkan yaitu COD dan TSS. Kualitas
air sungai katang Desa Mejing memiliki nilai indeks pencemaran 4,631 – 11,231 yang
termasuk dalam kategori tercemar ringan dan tercemar berat. Potensi tingkat
kerentanan air permukaan memiliki 2 klasifikasi kelas yaitu kelas kerentanan cukup
rentan dengan nilai 37 dan 41, sedangkan untuk kelas kerentanan sangat rentan dengan
nilai 44 dan 46. Arahan pengelolaan pencemaran berfokus untuk mengolah limbah
melalui perancangan IPAL dengan sistem biofilter anaerob – aeraob.

ABSTRACT
Mejing Village, Candimulyo District, Magelang Regency, Central Java is one
of the villages that has a household-scale tofu industry. However, until now there has
been no effort in managing the tofu liquid waste produced. Tofu liquid waste generated
from production is always disposed of directly through the ditch into the river body
without prior processing. This research was conducted with the aim of identifying the
characteristics of tofu liquid waste and river water at the research location, knowing
the level of vulnerability of surface water due to tofu liquid waste disposal in the study
area, and recommending directions for pollution management to improve river water
quality against tofu industrial wastewater pollution.
The methods used in this study were surveys and mapping, laboratory tests,
data analysis and descriptive analysis. Survey and mapping methods are techniques
for visualizing primary and secondary data that have been obtained. The data analysis
method is in the form of PCSM scoring with Arcgis software to overlay each surface
water vulnerability parameter and calculate the pollution index with 4-5 water quality
test parameters. Laboratory tests were carried out on samples of wastewater and river
water using purposive sampling and descriptive analysis.
The research results that have been obtained indicate that the quality of tofu
liquid waste water with the BOD, COD, TSS, and Ph parameter tests still has
parameters that are not in accordance with the established quality standards, namely
COD and TSS. Katang river water quality in Mejing Village has a pollution index
value of 4.631 – 11.231 which is included in the category of lightly polluted and
heavily polluted. The potential level of surface water vulnerability has 2 class
classifications, namely the vulnerability class is moderately vulnerable with values 37
and 41, while the vulnerability class is very vulnerable with values 44 and 46. The
direction for pollution management focuses on treating waste through the design of
WWTPs with an anaerobic-aerobic biofilter system.
