MENGGUNAKAN METODE TRIANGULAR GROUPING DAN
INVERSE DISTANCE WEIGHTING DI KECAMATAN
LOKPAIKAT, KABUPATEN TAPIN, PROVINSI
KALIMANTAN SELATAN

Batubara merupakan salah satu sumber daya alam yang bermanfaat dalam
berbagai bidang seperti pembangkit listrik tenaga uap (PLTU) dan lain sebagainya.
Penelitian ini dilakukan area tambang PT. Bhumi Rantau Energi yang berada di
Kecamatan Lokpaikat, Kabupaten Tapin, Provinsi Kalimantan selatan. Tujuan dari
penelitian ini adalah menganalisis respon lapisan batubara berdasarkan data well
logging, menganalisis geometri lapisan batubara seam “RH”, membuat peta
persebaran ketebalan lapisan batubara, serta menghitung estimasi sumberdaya
batubara seam “RH”.
Metode geofisika yang digunakan untuk mendapatkan data geologi batubara
bawah permukaan secara cepat dan tepat yaitu metode well logging. Pada penelitian
ini jenis log yang digunakan Log Gamma Ray dan Log Densitas. Dalam kegiatan
eksplorasi batubara perlu adanya perhitungan estimasi sumberdaya batubara, salah
satunya menggunakan metode Triangular Grouping dan Inverse Distance
Weighting.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, didapatkan rentang nilai gamma ray batubara
di daerah penelitian berkisar 0 – 20 CPS dan nilai rata – rata densitas batubara yang
digunakan sebagai nilai perhitungan adalah 1,293846253 gr/cc. Lapisan batubara
seam RH merupakan lapisan batubara paling tebal dengan rentang nilai ketebalan
5.5 m – 26 m dan rentang kedalaman 52 mdpl hingga -184 mdpl yang melampar
dengan kemiringan ke arah Timur – Barat dengan nilai dip nya 30o
– 33o
. Estimasi
sumberdaya batubara pada metode Triangular Grouping yang dikelompokan
menjadi tiga parameter, yaitu volume batubara, tonase batubara, dan nilai RMSE
dengan nilai 6,039,454.246 m3
, 7,814,125.246 ton, dan 1.224647 %. Sedangkan
perhitungan estimasi sumberdaya batubara pada metode Inverse Distance
Weighting didapatkan volume batubara, tonase batubara, dan nilai RMSE sebesar
5,984,267.898 m3, 7,742,722.596 ton, 2,39187%. Penggunaan metode Triangular
Grouping dapat dikatakan lebih efektif karena persebaran nilainya cukup merata
dan memiliki nilai yang lebih kecil yang dapat diartikan bahwa metode ini lebih
akurat.

TRIANGULAR GROUPING AND INVERSE DISTANCE
WEIGHTING METHODS BASED ON WELL LOGGING
GEOPHYSICS DATA IN LOKPAIKAT DISTRICT, TAPIN
REGENCY, SOUTH KALIMANTAN PROVINCE

Coal is one of the natural resources that are useful in various fields such as
steam power plants (PLTU) and so on. This research is conducted in the mining
area of PT. Bhumi Rantau Energi is located in Lokpaikat District, Tapin Regency,
South Kalimantan Province. The purpose of this research was to analyze the
response of coal seams based on well-logging data, analyze the geometry of the
"RH" seam coal seam, create a distribution map of the thickness of the coal seam,
and calculate the estimated "RH" seam coal resource.
The geophysical method used to obtain geological data for subsurface coal
quickly and precisely is the well-logging method. In this research, the types of logs
used are Gamma Ray Logs and Density Logs. In coal exploration activities, it is
necessary to calculate the estimation of coal resources, one of which uses the
Triangular Grouping and Inverse Distance Weighting methods.
Based on the results of the research, it was found that the gamma-ray value
of coal in the study area ranged from 0-20 CPS and the average value of coal
density used as the calculation value it is about 1.293846253 gr/cc. The RH seam
coal seam is the thickest coal seam with a thickness value range of 5.5 m and 26 m
and a depth range from 52 mean sea level to -184 mean sea level which extends
with a slope to the east-west with a dip value of 30o
to 33o
. The coal resources
estimation in the Triangular Grouping method is grouped into three parameters,
namely coal volume, coal tonnage, and RMSE value with a value is about
6,039,454,246 m3
, 7,814,125,246 tons, and 1,224647%. While the coal resources
estimation using the Inverse Distance Weighting method, the volume of coal, coal
tonnages, and RMSE values is about 5,984,267,898 m3
, 7,742,722,596 tons,
2,39187%. The use of the Triangular Grouping method can be said to be more
effective because the distribution of the values is quite even and has a smaller value
which means that this method is more accurate.
