ABSTRAK
SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta merupakan salah satu sekolah menengah kejuruan yang
berlokasi di Jl. W. Monginsidi 2 Yogyakarta. Penulisan laporan tugas akhir ini bertujuan
untuk memberikan solusi terkait pengelolaan administrasi surat yang masih dikelola secara
manual, yang hanya tersimpan dalam map dan hanya tercatat dalam buku surat masuk dan
surat keluar, sehingga berdampak pada lamanya proses penyediaan data laporan surat.
Penelitian ini memakai metode Waterfall dalam pengembangan sistemnya, aplikasi
berbasis web memakai bahasa pemrograman PHP dengan framework laravel dan MySQL
sebagai databasenya. Pengumpulan data memakai teknik studi kepustakaan, wawancara dan
observasi.
Hasil yang diperoleh setelah melakukan tahapan-tahapan dalam penelitian berupa
aplikasi persuratan berbasis web untuk pengelolaan data surat dengan fasilitas berupa
laporan data surat sehingga waktu yang digunakan dalam pencarian data surat bisa lebih
cepat.

ABSTRACT
SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta is one of the vocational high schools located on Jl. W.
Monginsidi 2 Yogyakarta. The writing of this final project report aims to provide solutions
related to the management of mail administration which is still managed manually, which is
only stored in a folder and only recorded in the incoming and outgoing mail books, so that
it has an impact on the length of the process of providing mail report data.
This study uses the Waterfall method in system development, web-based applications
use the PHP programming language with the Laravel framework and MySQL as the
database. Collecting data using literature study techniques, interviews and observations.
The results obtained after carrying out the stages in the research are in the form of
a web-based correspondence application for mail data management with facilities in the
form of mail data reports so that the time used in searching for mail data can be faster
