Abstract
Because of the dangerous and complicated constellation of pawer and interest on and around the Korean Peninsula, it can not be overlooked that after the armistice agreement that ended the hot phase of the Korean War in 1953, peace could be maintain in Northeast Asia. Facing the uneasy past and serious security concerns, Seoul has intensified its efforts at expanding and enhancing the dialogue with North Korea on various level trying to mitigate the DPRK's relations with the international community and supporting its integration into international networks of commerce and finance.
