DI SUB-SUB DAS BALONG, KABUPATEN KULON PROGO,
YOGYAKARTA

ABSTRAK
Sub-Sub DAS Balong merupakan bagian hulu dari DAS Progo, mengalir ke arah
tenggara dan bermuara di Sungai Progo. Besarnya limpasan permukaan sebagai
respon hidrologis pada Sub-Sub DAS Balong dipengaruhi oleh topografi, tanah,
geologi, vegetasi, penggunaan lahan, dan jaringan sungai. Saat ini, telah banyak
dikembangkan model untuk menganalisis limpasan dari data hujan. Salah satu
model yang menyederhanakan siklus hidrologi yang komplek adalah metode Soil
Conservation Service Curve Number (SCS-CN). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk
mengetahui karakteristik Sub-Sub DAS Balong dan menghitung limpasan
permukaan yang terjadi di Sub-Sub DAS Balong. Berdasarkan perhitungan
morfometri DAS, Sub-Sub DAS Balong memiliki luas 395 ha. Jumlah orde
sungai 3 orde dengan total 14 ruas sungai. Panjang sungai pada orde sungai ke-1
adalah 7,75 km, pada orde sungai ke-2 adalah 0,78 km, pada orde sungai ke-3
adalah 1,34 km. Rasio percabangan pada masing-masing orde sungai mulai orde 1
sampai 3 berturut-turut adalah 1 dan 0,44. Kerapatan aliran 2,49 km/km2.
Akumulasi limpasan permukaan tertinggi selama 10 tahun terjadi pada tahun 2016
sebesar 1303,37 mm, sedangkan akumulasi limpasan permukaan terendah pada
tahun 2011 sebesar 239,70 mm.

DETERMINATION OF CHARACTERISTICS AND RUNOFF IN
BALONG SUB-SUB WATERSHED, KULON PROGO REGENCY,
YOGYAKARTA

ABSTRACT
Balong Sub-Sub Watershed is part of upper the Progo Watershed, flows to
southeast and its outlet on the Progo River. The amount of runoff as a
hydrological respons in watershed is affected by topography, soil, geology,
vegetation, land use, and river channels. Currently, most of models has been
developed to analyze runoff from rainfall. One of the model that simplifies
complex hydrologic cycles is the Soil Conservation Service Curve Numer (SCSCN). The aimed of this research was to know the characteristics and calculate
runoff that occurred in the Balong Sub-Sub Watershed. Based on the calculation
of watershed morphometric, the following results are obtained : area watershed of
395 hectares. The number of stream orders is 3 with a total of 14 river segments.
The length of the river on the 1st stream orde is 7,75 km, on the 2nd stream orde
is 0,78 km, on the 3rd stream orde is 1,34 km. Bifurcation ratio at each order of
the order ranging from 1 to 3 respectively is 1 and 0,44. River density 2,49
km/km2. The maximum of runoff accumulation occurred over 10 years in 2016 of
1303,37 mm, whereas the minimum of runoff occurred in 2011 of 239,70 mm.
