Abstract

ABSTRAK
WL Aluminium merupakan Usaha Kecil Menengah (UKM) yang memproduksi
berbagai produk aluminium peralatan rumah tangga seperti wajan, panci, ketel, sobok dan
lain-lain.
menimbulkan keluhan Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs).

ABSTRACT
WL Aluminum is a Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) that produces various
aluminum household products such as frying pans, pots, kettles, sobok and others. In the
process of making wok by workers, there are complaints that arise due to the wrong work
position and the work facilities/facilities used are not supportive. Abnormal working
positions when doing activities such as bending over can cause complaints of
Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs). This work posture involves the back to the spine so
that Low Back Pain can occur, namely pain in the spine, to be precise in Lumbar 5/Sacrum
1 (L5/S1).
This study uses the Biomechanics Model as a solution in improving work posture.
The Biomechanics model is the solution to the problem in this study, it is useful for knowing
the magnitude of the compressive force on the L5/S1 joints of each worker. The next stage
is to determine and calculate the anthropometric data of workers in WL Aluminum which
is needed in making proposals for the design of work facilities/facilities.
The results of the analysis of work posture using the Biomechanics Model obtained
that the compressive force (FC) > AL (normal lifting force limit: 3500 N) on workers at
the casting work station, placing and opening the pan mold is 5124.67 N and 5118.09 N,
so it requires improvement. . Improvements by designing and implementing pan mold table
aids in foundry work stations. The measurement of the compressive force at the L5/S1 joints
from the results of the implementation of the frying pan table tool experienced a decrease
in the compressive force (FC) < AL (normal lifting force limit: 3500 N) in the activity of
placing and opening the pan mold by 3154.42 N and 2788.83 N.
