Abstract
The northern and eastern parts of Bolaang Mongondow district have quiter realiable sources of limestone, although the contribution from the mining and quarrying sector in the formation of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) is still relatively small to date. This is due to several constraints such as mining methods, processing methods and human resources. Such conditions allow investors to onvest in optimal management of limestone. The potensial of limestone resources in Bolaang Mongondow district has a large amount of 12.530.343.750 tons. The potential of limestone resources was recorded in 4 sub-districts, that is Lolak district, west passi district, lolayan district and bolaang district. Limestone mining activities have been carried out by 3 business entities holding IUP, which is 2 business antities holding Produkction Operation IUP and 1 busines entity holding IUP Exploration. Utilization of limestone in Bolaang Mongondow district for the last 4 years (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019) was recorded at 74.446.000,00 tons. Preparing a balance sheet for limestone resources in bolaang mongondow district following the technical guidelines for the 2011 spatial coal and mineral resource balance. In the stages of preparing a potential inventory of limestone resources in bolaang mongondow district, this inventory becomes the initial data source for asserts after multiplying by the current selling price of limestone. The utilization or production of limestone will fill the liability column after being multiplied by the current limestone price. The value of existing assets is then reduced by the liability value to obtain the final balance value of the limestone resource balance. Prices are based on North Sulawesi Governor Regulation No.159 of 2018 concerning the Determination of Selling Prices for Non-Metallic Minerals and Rocks in North Sulawesi Province, namely the limestone price of IDR 75,000 / m3 and 20% tax. The results of the balance sheet research and the potential of limestone resources in Bolaang Mongondow Regency obtained resources of 5,012,137,500.00 and Estimated Reserves of 1.196.930.500 m3 and the remaining reserves of 1.167.151.780,00 m3. The estimated sales tax revenue for Bolaang Mongondow Regency in 2016-2019 is IDR 446,680,800,000.00 and the remaining balance is IDR 37,144,350,450,000.00. The quality of limestone in Bolaang Mongondow district has a chemical composition value of CaO = 48,68% - 54,79%, MgO = 0,45% - 2,77%, Fe2O3 = 0,02% – 0,13%, Al2O3 = 0,10% - 4,04%, and SiO2 = 0,74% - 3,06%. The potential of limestone resources cannot be separated from the utilization of the limestone itself, some of the utilization of limestone has certain limestone quality requirements, the utilization will adjust to the existing limestone quality values.
