Abstract
Limbah dari pcnambangan batubara yang bercampur dengan sisa hasil pencucian batubara yang dinamakan natubara Tailing (C/) mempunyai nilai kalor rendah dan kandungan sulfur scrta abu yang tinggi Untuk mc'ningkatkan kualitasnya dcngan mcningkatkan nilai dan untul mcngurangi rcnccmaran lingkungan dcngan mcnurunkan kadar sulfur dan abunva. maka batubara haruc dtpisahknn dati pcnuotornva tersebut salah satu caranva denuan flotasi Tujuan utama pcnclitian adalah meningkatkan kualitas limbah batubara (CT), dengan menaikkan nilai kalornya (mcnurunkan kandungan sulfur. abu. dan pcngotor lainnya) memakai tnctodc flotasi mcnggunakan Ictak (Saptndusrarak IA' Candote) sebagai surfaktan. Dari penclttian ini didapatkan kondisi optimum. yailu pada ukuran partikel •80/4100 mesh, kondisi di pH 6. nilni intornya meningkat dari mtllnemtita 3210.171 kalori/gr menjadi $035.022 kaloritgr. Landungan sulfur mcnurun hingga kondisi optimum mencapai 2026.08 dan Ladat abu menurun dan 34.61 0,' mcryadl 33"'.
