Abstract
ABSTRACT Title: The effect of financial ratios and firm size on financial distress. This study aimed to examine the effect of liquidity to financial distress, leverage effect of the financial distress, the effect on the profitability of financial distress, the effect on the activity of financial distress, and the influence of the size of the company against financial distress. The samples in this study using purposive sampling of mining companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) in 2011-2014). Samples used as many as 60 samples from 15 companies for four years. The method used is multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that liquidity, leverage, profitability, activity and firm size affect the financial distress. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh likuiditas terhadap financial distress, pengaruh leverage terhadap financial distress, pengaruh profitabilitas terhadap financial distress, pengaruh aktivitas terhadap financial distress, dan pengaruh ukuran perusahaan terhadap financial distress. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling dari perusahaan pertambangan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) pada tahun 2011-2014). Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 60 sampel dari 15 perusahaan selama 4 tahun. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi berganda. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa likuiditas, leverage, profitabilitas, aktivitas, dan ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh terhadap financial distress. Kata Kunci: Likuiditas, leverage, profitabilitas, aktivitas, ukuran perusahaan, financial distress.
