Abstract
The main objectives of this study were to find out: (1) the level of correlation between the commitment of manager and the role of cost management information in TQM; (2) the influence of the commitment of manager and the role of cost management information in TQM, simultaneously and partially, on the effectiveness of cost control. This study was designed as a casual study. As a casual study, this study at BUMN (the state-owned) manufactures in Indonesia. Consistent with the proposed hypothesis of this study, and appropriate statistical analysis was used to examine the cause-and-effect relationship, using the Structural Model,i.e., statistical path analysis technique. This model was expected to discover the extent of influence, directly, separately of jointly, of the casual variables on the effect variables. The result of study indicated that, first, no correlation in TQM. Second, there was an influence of the commitment of management information in TQM, simultaneously and partially, on the effectiveness of cost control.
