Abstract
Student learning methods affect the results achieved in the world of education. To find out how to study appropriate for students, it is necessary to have personality tests and modalities. In the field of psychology there are instruments used in the form of questions chosen by students in accordance with the activities they normally do. But sometimes the choice of answers to these questions makes students confused, they feel they have more than one activity, so they cannot choose just one answer. Therefore, this study of personality tests and modalities is presented using an expert system. For the choice of answers that are not yet certain are handled using fuzzy logic. Consultation results from the system with samples of personality types and learning modalities each have an accuracy rate of 80% with the results of consultations conducted by experts. So it can be concluded that the expert system has been built and can be used for consultation
