Abstract

Cement plant requires considerable limestone as raw materials. Therefore a good technical mine design is needed. The research was conducted in the area of Ajibarang District Central Java Province. Based on the exploration, study area is approximately 3,661.3 hectares, the amount of limestone resources of 374.5 million tonnes. Mine slope geometry: bench height of 10 m, bench width of 5 m, the single slopel of 700, and the overall slope of 50o. Width on a straight road is 14 m, the value of the minimum radius of 10 m, the cross slope of 0.35 on the wide straight road, super elevation of 1.6 of the width of the road at the bend and haul road gradient used was 10%. Technical engineering designs include the sequence of limestone mining based on production targets, and the mine layout. Plan production amounting to 2,800,000 million tons of cement per year from the first year until the fifth year, while in the sixth year onwards increased to 7,000,000 million per year. The benefit of this research is the result of mine design can be used as guidance limestone mining, and can be used as a reference for decision making
