Abstract
The aims of this study were to lcnow the effect of curc'uma domestica rhizome ex*act on the s. oryzae population development and the quality of wo varieties slored corn seed. The experimenl u,as conducted from August to November 2002 in the laboratory of Seed Technologt, "UpN ',Viteran,' Yogtalrnrta. Research was arranged in Oompletely Randomized Design with two factors: the dosage of curcuma extracts (0g, 0.5g, 1g, 1.5g & 2g per 100g seed)and seed varieties (Bisma & Hibrida. The results showed that using 1.5g and 2g curcuma extracts on Hibrida corn seed could maintain the population of S. oryzae and the quality of seed for 3 months stored time.
