Abstract
ABSTRACT One of the problems of waste from the oil and gas industry activity is produced water. PT Medco E&P Lematang to manage produced water by using a chemical treatment at the Waste Water Treatment Plant before being discharged into the environment. This study aims to (1) determine the quality of the effluent. (2) determine the quality of the river water. (3) determine the load capacity of the river water pollution. (4) determining the level of the water quality status. The method used is a survey method, laboratory (LMT-PRD-SOP-IOS-29-003), the analysis of pollution load capacity, and pollution index. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, the observation point is in the region of the upstream, midstream, and downstream. The parameters used in this study are pH, temperature, TDS, COD, ammonia, phenol, H 2 S, and oils and grease. Based on the research that has been conducted shows that the effluent quality has met quality standards, water quality still does not meet the quality standards for COD, pollution load capacity at TP3 not meet quality standards for oil and grease parameters. River water quality status on the TP 1 and 2 in good condition, while at TP3, 4, and 5 in light polluted conditions. This is because the value of COD at the observation point still exceeds the quality standards set South Sumatra governor regulation number 16 of 2005 ie 50 mg/l. COD value in TP 3 at 71.6 mg/l, TP2 of 66.6 mg/l, and TP3 of 61.3 mg/l. Keywords : Produced water, effluent, river quality, water quality status INTISARI Salah satu masalah limbah dari hasil kegiatan industri migas adalah air terproduksi. PT Medco E&P Lematang melakukan pengelolaan limbah air terproduksi dengan menggunakan chemical treatment pada Waste Water Treatment Plant sebelum dibuang ke lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui kualitas effluent. (2) mengetahui kualitas air sungai. (3) mengetahui daya tampung beban pencemaran air sungai. (4) menentukan tingkat status mutu air. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survey, laboratorium (LMT-PRD-SOP-IOS-29-003), analisis daya tampung beban pencemaran, dan indeks pencemaran. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling, dengan titik pengamatan berada di daerah bagian hulu, tengah, dan hilir. Parameter yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pH, suhu, TDS, COD, amonia, phenol, H 2 S, dan minyak dan lemak. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukan bahwa kualitas effluent telah memenuhi baku mutu, kualitas air sungai masih belum memenuhi baku mutu untuk parameter COD, daya tampung beban pencemaran pada TP3 belum memenuhi baku mutu untuk parameter minyak&lemak. Status mutu air sungai pada TP 1 dan 2 dalam kondisi baik, sedangkan pada TP3, 4, dan 5 dalam kondisi tercemar ringan. Hal ini disebabkan karena nilai COD pada titik pengamatan tersebut masih melebihi baku mutu yang ditetapkan PerGub Sumsel No 16 Th 2005 yaitu 50 mg/l. Nilai COD pada TP 3 sebesar 71.6 mg/l, TP2 sebesar 66.6 mg/l, dan TP3 sebesar 61.3 mg/l. Kata kunci : Air terproduksi, effluent, kualitas air sungai, status mutu air
